Question on the MM Jailbird

I was looking on the Mature Metal site, and I see that the Jailbird is made from 1/8" steel rod. Can anybody out there tell me how large the spacing is *between* those bars? It's hard to judge from the pictures, but I was wondering if the wide spacing led to any skin bulging.

I wear a MM Jail bird. Its great and CQ loves it. The bars that run the length of the penis are exactly 1cm apart on my device. I have no significant bulging even when I am suffering an erection. Clearly the 'tube' fills and the flesh tries to escape. I do suffer a lot of pain when erect and this is why CQ takes me out at night and puts me in the BON4. I really like the JB and CQ loves metal on me she hated the CB6000 which was our first long term wear device.

1 cm would be just over 3/8" which sounds like a lot, but apparently it's okay. My concern was that the small vent holes in the CB3k and 6k allowed a lot of skin to balloon through, which was painful. But maybe because there were only 3 small holes, instead of a longer section, any swelling just popped through that section. Over the longer area, I'm guessing that the swelling is somewhat equalized.

The pain that you get - is it in the tube, or from the rings?

The pain is from the base ring crushing my balls as the erection forces the cage away. I grow massively from soft to erect. When in had a cb6000 mostbtimes inwould barely fill the tube when soft. When hard it nearly split the tube. My JB cage is 1.5" and I fill it completely when soft, to the point that when CQ takes me out I have impressions in the skin from the rods. It's not painful or sore. The base ring is 1 3/8" and is very snug. It needs good amounts of lube to stop the scrotal skin being sore. I get very purple when hardens develop in the cage!

Mine doesn't hurt me at all. I wish it were a bit more snug and eventually I will get one that is smaller.

I used to have a lot of painful erections at night, but I expanded the gap and started making sure I lubed up before bed and haven't had any problems since.

No problems with skin swelling either.

Tom, I know what you mean but its not nearly the same as the 6K, the 3K as you know was the worst for bulging skin especially if the lock pinched the skin...

Strangely bulging skin is not a issue at all with the jailbird, because the flesh has ample space to bulge through!!

That said this is one of the things I do not like about jailbird is that you do not get that enclosed feeling, its almost like wearing nothing in that respect. The CB6K is actually a lot more pleasant to wear...and sort of feels like your in the wet confines of a pussy all day long. I miss that feeling, and have actually been tempted to go back to the 6K (or buy a new one if they did not break so easily and become cacky), that pleasant feeling contributes to the feeling of submissiveness and perpetual hornyness, the feeling is different in a jailbird, its still there and I still look at my wife as a angel but its not as intense, and more inclined to get pissed off with it...it could be just because its a bit tight.

On my jailbird I probably bad the base ring a little too tight, but the next size up would have been too big, its almost impossible to get my bits out of the base ring even with the cage off, and I can only get it on with the use of a stocking, and I also think the space between the base ring and the cage is also a bit too tight. This makes it pretty secure, although with the help of lube I could probably sit in a bath and get out of it, but its effective none the less.

I have a lot more trouble sleeping with it because erections won't subside as easily because the base ring is tighter, and they hurt.

I sort of wish the jailbird had twice as many bars so that you can "feel" that enclosed feeling more, to a degree the jailbird takes the fun out of chastity because its not pleasant getting a erection and its very effective at preventing them. On the contrary I almost used to look forward to being woken by the CB6k, while it still hurt it was sort of pleasant at the same time, if you know what I mean.

I have been thinking about widening the gap a bit jnuts, how did you go about it?, I read someone else tried bending it and cracked the steel, I have a temperature controlled heat gut that can go up to 650C but thats not going to be enough.

On the plus side though there is absolutely no issues in cleaning, chaffing, little worn patches of skin that always was a issue with the cb6K...there is no reason to ever take it off (unless traveling )

A wedge and hammer. I went a little too fas and do have a hairline crack on the weld but it isn't hurting anything. Still tough as nails.

No issue with "bulging" on the Jailbird style cage. I think it's because the ring to the front of the cage is made from 1/4" 316 and the longitudinal bars 1/8", so there's a bit of space anyway, plus the openings are all around rather than the CB3K's which are concentrated in a couple of spots. I'm uncut, so the biggest problem I had with the 3K was my foreskin pushing out of the end when aroused which caused real pinching problems. The double bar arrangement on the end of Jailbird (or in my case Queens Keep, which is a JB with a flat ring at the end at the base of the penis) minimises this.

Sizing wise I wore a 3K practically 24/7 for over a year before switching, and the base ring on my QK is the same dia as the one I used on the 3K but slightly oval. Very comfortable, and the ovality makes it snugger without causing any discomfort. Also being a grower I find the shorter cage a lot more comfortable.

And hygiene is SO MUCH easier.

I wore a CB3K for a couple of months so I know what pain you are talking about. I have had a couple of jailbirds, one sized like a CB6KS and another a bit smaller. I never experienced that kind of pain with any of the jailbirds, or any of the metal devices at all. Probably the closest to that kind of pain was when a bit of skin poked out the end of my steelheart. It didn't bulge at all but was a similar feeling.

I have to admit that I find that enclosed feeling very erotic. I've used cages styles in the past, and was amazed at the difference when I went to the 3k.
