You still may want to buy that JB. From a great deal of personal experience, I can tell you that stainless steel on your skin is much different than plastic. One of the biggest reasons we went with a steel device is its much cleaner, skin has the ability to breath and dry much faster.

But I would suggest if you decide to continue later get a steel device from MM or a eBay one with round rings as hinged rings may need silicone tubing for the hinge and this could react with your sensitive skin.

I would also keep the MM device coming. When I was wearing the plastic devices if I didn't keep up a lube regiment I would get a painful irritation around the base ring. I think it's because plastic is inherently sticky.

When I got my first MM stainless steel device I found I seldom needed any lube. Stainless steel is just so smooth and slippery on it's own. During the summer with sweating I never use lube. With winter, and as the skin is dryer, I will put some lotion on occasionally.

After writing the last part it occurred to me that winters were worse for irritations with the CB's. During the winter I would have to use silicone a couple of times a day, just to keep everything comfortable. If you didn't have enough lube maybe this was the reason for the flare up?

Winter is a killer for my skin. All comments are correct. With the plastic ring I was lubing all the time and winter dries up my skin. I have all sorts of creams and powders for my skin. I did cancel the JB. At this point I do not know if this fungal infection will keep coming back as it does to other places on my body. I also suspect that my skin is sensitive to silicone lube so I want to try baby oil next time as well as my Lanacane anti chafing gel. My main concern was that due to a difference in sizes between my testicles, a solid ring that is large enough for one but small enough for the other, makes using it very difficult. With my skin problems, I really need to remove it once a day for proper care.

I already have steel devices with hinged rings and learned the trick of using rubber tubing. I have several feet of it in my desk. It used to take me forever to get it on but I finally learned the trick. Squirt lubricant inside the tube and it slides right one. I have two devices with tubing all around the ring. Problem with that is that it makes the rings smaller.

Right now I am still trying to find the right combo of cremes to use. Sometimes I need just the antifungal. Sometimes I need to add cortisone and even Neosporin. I have to be careful of the strength of the medication because if too strong, it will cause red cracked skin. I am used to this problem but never on my balls before. I just want to deal with this problem first and not to commit the money to the Jailbird not knowing if this will be a recurring problem or not. If I have to go back to only be locked part time, I want a something that is easy on and off and I know from many years of experience with cock rings, that solid rings are not easy on/off.
