Urologist on National Primetime TV says NO to Chastity

A. This being on a national Primtime TV Show (The Doctors)
B. The stern opinion of it being absolutely dangerous
C. How arrogant they were.

I liked when they opened the box

I don't think it is too helpful when they give an uninformed opinion and a blanket condemnation. I won't disagree that there are risks but what do we do that doesn't have risks? It would have been more useful to give some reasons along with an explanation. Provide some information to help form an informed opinion.

I agree wholeheartedly here. This was (I'm making my own assumption here) based all on theory and not actual practice unless he's seen a rash of injuries in his personal office from CB devices.

In theory what he was saying was true but I think a lot of us who have been playing for a while know that in practice it's not as risky as he's painting it to be.

I watched the video, and I have to say that the urologist didn't offer any compelling reasons why the devices are so exceedingly dangerous. Since they chose not to display a representative device, or the specific anatomical hazards associated with its use, the audience was left to imagine its configuration. For all they know, it's a Kali's Bracelet equipped with razor blades. Just theatrical book-selling BS. I know similar diatribes regarding the pernicious and dastardly habit of masturbation were common..in euphemistic terms (gotta love the term 'self- pollution') ......throughout much of the last century.

Part of me is grateful that Lady Beth never had an opportunity to watch this before she decided to cage me, but another part wishes she had....but not out of concern for physical health of my genitalia. Damn you, and thank you, Tom...for pursuading her otherwise.

I suspect, given the wide popularity of this show....that more than a few men, and their mates, will be intrigued by the subject, further investigate, and conduct some experiments of their own. The good doctor is expanding market awareness.

What's the old saying? There's "no such thing as bad publicity".

I watched the show and even as someone who has no interest in going full bore with the use of any device, found it utterly offensive to the intelligence and common sense abilities of anyone who wants to consider this as an addition to their sex life.

The insulting, contemptuous, sarcastic attitude of the urologist reminded me of the parts of the medical profession that berate the practice of BDSM, proclaiming it unsafe and questioning the mental health of the ones who do practice BDSM play. This bunch of self-proclaimed informants really needs to get better educated on topics like this before they start trying to offering knowledgeable advice. Sometimes “MD” is an acronym for “more dumb”.

That's the point isn't it...we shouldn't be locking a device around our penis, but we do don't we. It is nonsensical unless you're of the mind set where you can see sense from it. It is uncomfortable, restricting, sometime painful and yes, the key holder may go out with the girls leaving you locked in your world, but again that's at least half the point isn't it. It does cause swelling and bruising at times, but from practical application over the last year I haven't seen anything physically dangerous beyond temporary discomfort.

I wasn't as off put by the video as I thought I would be. In a way if I had never heard of male chastity I guarantee I would be researching it now, and I'm sure many more people who saw that show will be too. Too funny!

I was really sold on how dangerous male chastity devices are when the good doctor pointed to all the research that had been done showing the dangers. I mean these studies alone....

I watched the entire episode yesterday. Considering they spent six-eight minutes or so discussing consumables made from placenta and showed the placenta, then another few minutes discussing a woman who placed poison in her vagina in an attempt to poison her husband when he performed oral sex (the moron almost killed herself) then spent a few minutes demonstrating how dogs are neutered, then discussing testicular implants for neutered pets (WTF?Really?)and showing them in various sizes showing a CB device would have been inappropriate ?


I’ll admit I have a chip on my shoulder when it comes to the “misinformed speakers” involved in the public discussion of any type of fetish wants, for the matter I get sick of alternative choices when it come to our sexuality being portrayed as some kind of weird mental condition affecting the ability of anyone who make the alternative choices to be reasonable and smart when they make the choice.

Honestly the only men I know who wear the devices are the ones here on this forum. It is a limited sampling but most all of you seem pretty damned smart to me and smart enough to know how make choices that won’t leaving you maimed for life.

The whole segment was ridiculous. The ‘not FDA regulated bit’ had me shaking my head thinking “None of the things I use in my sex life are FDA regulated, thank god.”
