He should take time to get use to his chastity device, making sure of the correct fitting, his body will adjust to it.
Also remember who is in charge, don't let him tell you what he wants.

If something is irritating you take it off for inspection. Talk to him. see if different combos would help . Hygene is important. Don't let him get away with anything. But talk to him once or twice a day to make sure he is still ok

As for lock up and denial time do what Sarah says TALK to him and ask him how long he thinks he can go with out a release then double it! Now that does not mean you cant play with him it just means he is not going to have a release for that many days or weeks or months or years wow scratch that last part.
