You are correct. It is widely regarded as you describe. If a woman was at an "event" like a club or similar she could expect to be approached.The protocol seems to differ in the various kink communities. Welcome to the Forum. I am no expert, but the above replies are correct. I believe in hotwifing and cuckolding circles these wives usually wear the anklet on the RIGHT ankle. That seems to be the most common way to advertise as a hotwife or cuckold's wife.

As a side note, I love anklets, but my wife doesn't wear one since we don't want to make it appear she is available (she's not!). Of course, most women have no idea of those potential meanings, so its not like everyone will assume she is looking. It's just that we do know!
