Well the wife has agreed to give this a try. Once I have the right fit, then we will try it for 3 months to see how it goes. I'm really looking forward to it.
Because she is not sure about it yet, we didn't want to spend a lot of money so I have got a copy of a CB6000s. this is where I need your advice. I guess I need to try different ring sizes for several days each to see what problems they might cause or to get the best fit. we started on Christmas Day and with the largest ring and smallest spacer. I have gone down 2 ring sizes today but used a larger spacer. My question is, what do the spacers do - if I have the smallest one it seems to fit close to my testicles. Is that the idea? However, if I use a larger one, that seems to do the same.
I guess this is pretty basic stuff for you guys, so please forgive me if I'm being stupid.
Thanks for your help with this.

Re: Spacers on CB6000s
From my experience and reading others, a smaller spacer is generally better It can reduce ball pain during morning wood and helps prevent ball escape.
So generally speaking go with the smallest base ring that you can use the smallest spacer with. Ymmv of course.

Yep, the spacers allow you to vary the distance of the gap between the ring and the entrance end of the tube. It also affects the bulge in your pants ever so slightly but the focus should be on comfort. Using the smallest spacer that is comfortable and doesn't impede bodily functions (other than erections) is the aim for a proper fit.

Re: Spacers on CB6000s
Also meant to mention that an intermediate step in moving to a smaller base ring over time is to temporarily go to a larger spacer and work back towards the smallest spacer over time so what you did is the right approach IMO.
Re: Spacers on CB6000s
I use the smallest spacer as I found that the best. I also use the second largest ring. The problem you will face is that the cheap knock offs have a ridge in the ring and that most often will cause irritation. Just search around this forum and read the posts by those who bought the Chinese knockoffs. Unless you are going to only wear it for a few hours every few days, the real thing will be more comfortable. I was able to wear mine 24/7 for the better part of a year. Unfortunately the ring has caused skin problems lately and I cannot wear it for a few weeks and I have a real one. I tried the knock off and the ring was irritating my scrotum and the pegs and rings were not as well made and the ring snapped off and the cage split.
However, to just try it, it is OK but if you like it and get the real one, you have spent $40 more than those who bought it from the get go. You really cannot judge a CD by a knockoff. I have several knock offs and although they look the same, they do not wear the same.

Thank you all for your advice. "Heldforher and Her_M": Yes, I used the smallest spacer ring with the largest ring. In the morning, my testicles looked more like a butterfly
They stayed that way. I did the second largest ring along with the small spacer and it was the same. I have now gone to the mid size ring with the 3rd largest spacer. However, today some shaft skin started peeking through the vent holes and appears to have trapped some fluid, just like a blister does. My testicles appear to be ok and haven't changed colour. So for now, to enable the skin on my shaft to return to normal, I have taken the device off. However, will put it back on tomorrow. Not sure the cause of it i.e. whether the spacer was too big. Before a bit of skin came through the vent holes, but did not cause any damage. So my thinking is in the morning put back on the middle size ring but with the short spacer.
"Len51", you are right about long term it would be better to by an original. However, I don't have a £100 to spare at the moment to try out whether this is going to work for us. So, it seemed better to spend £30 on getting a Chinese copy and giving it a go, and if after 3 months we want to do this (I hope so!) then invest in an original or even a metal one. The aim is to wear it 24/7. Actually, already I feel disappointed I have had to take it off. I liked the feel of it on me.
Thanks again guys. Your magic.

Re: Spacers on CB6000s
This is a normal occurrence and typically is nothing to worry about. It is caused by being aroused, though most of your penis is prevented from erection, the areas at the vent holes *do* undergo some expansion and may even 'poke out' through the holes...which can result in some discomfort if you have a lock with sharp edges. Everything generally goes back to normal when you return to the completely flacid state, or if you remove the cage for a while. It appears disconcerting at first but it really isn't an issue. For a while I put tape over the holes, but after getting accustomed to the phenomenon...and many months of wear dulling the edges of the lock...I stopped going to the extra trouble. Some have filled the holes with silicone caulking compound, but I prefer not to so that they can perform the designed function- which is to aid in air circulation and cleaning.rps1106 wrote:However, today some shaft skin started peeking through the vent holes and appears to have trapped some fluid, just like a blister does. Thanks TwistedMister. Actually, I was flaccid, so my shaft pokes through the vent holes anyway. It just seemed worse this time with a smaller ring and larger spacer. I'm glad it is nothing to worry about though. I guess the water will disperse somehow. Don't fancy a blister looking blemish on my shaft

Sounds like you might need to go with the standard size cage rather than the "s" model.

Re: Spacers on CB6000s
TwistedMister: -I think the "S" is the right length because when the head reaches the end, there is no problem - like when I first put it in.. However, once my penis goes flaccid it shrinks in length to just where the head shape section starts. That's when the skin pokes through. I put it back on last night with the 2nd to largest ring and the smallest spacer and everything seemed fine. However, it has shrunk again, so the skin pokes through but not as much as before and it doesn't hurt.
There is some pain after a while from the base ring when I sit. It feels like some skin is caught, but looking on this forum, it would seem that is the norm for a copy CB6000s because the ring is flat rather than round and is hollowed out rather than solid.. I'll see how it goes. I don't know if it is possible to fill in the hollow bit. Alternatively, I could buy an original base ring, but not sure whether this would fit a copy CB6000s. I'm hoping it will be comfortable after a while, so I can try this for the 3 months we agreed on. Then I'll purchase and original CB6000s if need be.
Thanks again.
