Queens Keep vs Jailbird

Post by akcouple2000 »

I am trying to decide between a QK and JB. Has anyone had experience with both? Which do you like better? I really do not see much difference between them. Are they easy to hide while wearing jeans???

I own both devices and they are both great.

Personally, I find the JB more comfortable as the base of the cage is a rounded ring where as the base of the QK cage is thinner which, for me, meant I needed a wider gap between the cage and the ring or I'd get an abrasion over time probably because I'm high and tight and in the winter, it's even more so. Doesn't happen with the JB

I use a 3/8" gap with the JB and used a 5/8" gap with the QK (to avoid the abrasion).

I haven't gone back to the QK since I've had the JB but there are people here who certainly like the QK and it's great looking. I liked the idea of the QK design because of the additional steel and a little more "coverage" as a result.

I can't compare the two, I only have the QK. We just liked the look better.

But as far as wearing jeans, that's about all I wear. Never had an issue.

Agreed. I like the look of the QK a bit more.

Also, for the same base ring/gap, The JB cage is angled down more than the QK so probably "hides" better in jeans but I never felt self conscious in either as both hide well. I do like that the JB points things downward more.
