Base ring diameter

Post by Tame Lion »

I've been in my MM Jail Bird for about 9 months now. I had the cage shortened by 1/2" a couple of months ago. The base ring is 1 3/4". I find, especially in the shower that I can easily get a finger between the ring and my body, particularly on the top where the post is.

Here's my problem: The device is very comfortable and my balls never escape. So, from that perspective the ring is fine. If I just have the ring on, I can comfortably get hard. I'm not inclined to try to pull out, but I think I can with the current setup. I don't really want to try.

Based on previous experience testing devices, a 1/2" round ring has always been too constrictive, though I never wore those devices more than a day or so. Is it worth it to send the JB back to get the ring reduced to 1 5/8"? Will I gain anything by doing that?

Mrs. Lion hates the idea of me returning the JB since the Chinese cage we have is a pain for her to put on me. It isn't my first choice either. But, on the other hand, my jB will only be gone 10 days or so.

Is there any point to doing this?

why "fix" what isn't broken?

PS: MM can adjust the length by 1/2 inch? I'm hoping to order a JB very soon and that would be good news because I am hemming and hawing about length.

Great, thanks! Looks like I'm fresh out of excuses for delaying the upgrade to steel.

Here is a question regarding the base ring diameter on a Holy Trainer V2. I currently have the 40mm ring, and have found that during the night when I get the nocturnal erections the tube is pushed away from my body and the ring slides down stretching out my sac and making my balls tight. This happens with either the standard and short tube (I have both) with obviously the short tube being more extreme. While this doesn't "hurt" because I've been wearing these devices for long enough to get properly stretched out, I was wondering if going to a smaller diameter ring would help. I've seen that there is a 36mm ring offered at Kept For Her but it doesn't show up on the Holy Trainer website (which has me a little concerned) and I'm not sure if going to that diameter would make a difference. I guess my goal is to have a set-up that would restrict my erections more. Any advice would be appreciated. Right now the short tube with the 40mm ring is the most restrictive.
Last orgasm: October 20, 2016. Masturbated while locked. :(

Last PIV: been a while

Device used: CB6000s, Holy Trainer V2 (part time) Black Short and Clear Standard.
Currently locked part time in a Clear Holy Trainer V2 Standard, 40mm ring.

I am similar in size to you. I have been in a JB since April. My cage is also 1 1/4". When I ordered I got both the 1 3/4 & the 1 5/8" oval rings. I was able to wear the larger ring 24/7 right from day one, however I found it too loose after I had been wearing it for over a month. I did try the smaller ring a few days after getting the JB however it was too small and I had to take it off after only a couple of hours.

When I found the larger ring to be too loose I began to experiment again with the smaller ring again, starting with smaller time periods during the day and working up to wearing it all day long. It took me about 3 months before I was able to wear it 24/7 and I have had it on for up to a week with no release at all.

I find the smaller ring is now more comfortable than the larger ring and I feel more secure in it than I do with the larger one.

Rather than getting your ring resized I would suggest getting the smaller ring (cost $70.00) and have the larger ring available until you are comfortable wearing the smaller one 24/7. Wearing the smaller one at night was probably the biggest adjustment as night time erections were somehow much more uncomfortable than daytime erections.

Thanks. Good advice. For now I'm going to stick with the 1 3/4" ring. It's comfortable 24/7 and I have no desire to escape.

You can always try 1 11/16". Even 1/16" can make a significant difference. As you probably know, MM will do 1/16" ring adjustments.
