Mature Metal Build time

Post by Lockedchef »

I was wondering if someone could give a bit of insight why so long of a build time for their devices. I honestly don't know much about machining these or what it takes to work with stainless steel. Is there a lot of down time waiting for pieces to set before going on to the next step? Is the guy that busy that only so many can be made at one time? Obviously each piece is unique and I understand he doesn't want unsold inventory in random sizes sitting around hoping somebody will order it. Just curious how many hours go into making each one.

This is the way I understand it. William is the sole fabricator of the MM devices. His wife does the office type stuff. It takes one to two days to make a device. The wait period is because of the popularity of the devices.
Current device - MM Custom
Previous devices - CB2000, 3000, 6000, 6000s, Curve

This is the nature of a small business. He's an artisan, and it's his skill that goes into making the pieces. It maybe difficult to train someone else to do it, not to mention the costs of an employee that go far beyond just weekly wages so he does all the fabrication himself.

He also has to deal with ordering and maintaining an inventory of materials to make the cages, the time involved in modifying devices that don't fit quite right, as well as answering emails.... and he's human, so subject to illness, and some time to live a normal life outside of the shop. A bit of a backlog also insures that he will have the work so can eat and pay bills in two months. Nothing more scary than seeing the backlog getting short and no new orders coming in.

Oh I absolutely understand all of that about the guy making a living. I run a small business where every dollar counts. I'm not saying that he should hire a bunch of people and crank out cages. Leave that to the Chinese crap. I'm more interested in the process. I used to love that show "How it's made" on Discovery Channel. Who new watching a factory assemble paint brushes could be interesting? A trip to a factory was always my favorite field trip.

I appreciate the art of things and what goes into it. Just wish their was a good video of the whole process or something.

HOW IT'S MADE - MALE CHASTITY DEVICES

In ancient times, male chastity was difficult to achieve due to lack of manufacturing processes. Now a days, people can choose from silicone, plastic or even stainless steel models. In this episode, we will see how one small company caters to those who prefer their penis be held captive by crafting beautiful penis cages.

I can hear Brookes Moore saying something like this.

There were no ancient chastity devices. The first date back to Victorian times.
