I noticed that whenever I would cracked something on one of my CB 3/6k devices, it was usually when I had been wearing jeans. Denim is a tough material, and a snug cut is going to put more stress on the end of the cage - which translates to much more stress at the pivot area: the section where the cage meets the rings.

The HT with the integrated lock has a similar problem. Hot water probably softens the material, so getting dressed before the resin re - hardens bends it more than it should be.

I am now waiting for my 3rd tube. The previous two have broken in exactly the same place. The first was broken during the night, I woke to find him dangling in the wind so to speak, the second has just broken under normal wear. I would love to get one made of metal. I think this has been the most comfortable device I have worn so far.

OK. So what lotions, soaps, cleaning agents did you use?

Just general soap and hot water in shower, no major cleaning agents. According to HT, they've had a bad batch of tubes, have changed the resin, to one which is stronger. I am waiting to see

Received my new tube today. It's been on all day, early indication are, it's much stiffer than previous versions. Previously, after a few hours, the older tubes were soft and pliable, this one is still hard. I hope this turns out to be a good update.

My HT2 has not broken yet. I concur about it being the most comfortable device I have tried. In addition is is the least visible under clothing that I have tried. Some of this is the integrated lock but it is mostly the way it sits when being worn. Even when wearing a biking brief my KH has had to feel to ensure the cage was being worn.

I hope mine does not break because it is my favorite device so far and I do not want to deal with the hassle of returns, etc.
