It is not at all predictable person to person and there is no rhyme or reason. I had wet dreams somewhat frequently in junior high, HS and college when I was a pup. I probably caught on to MB moderately late. The first wet dream, I woke up humping the bed, and thought "Holy Shit! How do I make that happen again?" I was probably early teens. Other times, it would happen with an erotic dream, sometimes not. Sometimes, I wouldn't know it until after I woke up.

The last time(s) were in college and I lived in close quarter with no privacy, which is also when I discovered the joys of holding off on coming. Ironically, I would have a wet dream 1-2 days after MB, after 1 week of self imposed denial. Sometimes, while taking a nap.

They were all generally unpredictable, including whether they were any fun.

I think that is how it works for me. I just wake up with an erection but do not ejaculate. Sort of disappointed that I do not at times.
