Do you take off your JailBird basering?

Do you take off the JailBird basering when removing the device for a day or two? Due to the nature of my work i need to remove the device in the morning and put the device back on in the afternoon. i have a heck of a time getting my junk in and out of the basering, and i'm thinking about just leaving the basering on. i saw a couple posts by RegularJoe that suggest he leaves the basering on all the time. He also mentioned that during play time he just rotates the stud below his balls (i like that idea).

i'm wondering if leaving the basering on (during relatively short one or two day release periods) is fairly standard with JailBird wearers? And if so, i'm wondering if you have had any issues with wearing the basering without the cage?

Hubby has left the ring on but usually will take it off when we do a couple days. We, too, have turned the ring for playtime. It works well enough but, like I said, he hasn't worn it like that longer term.

I remove the base ring. I have also tried rotating the post but found it for the most part uncomfortable.

We've discussed this before. The protruding locking post is one of the only downsides of the MM devices. It's kind of a Catch-22 for us. Many times I get quite aroused before I'm unlocked. By that time, I'm erect enough that removing the base ring at that moment is pretty much impossible. We have rotated the post to one side or the other for PIV sex, but she says she can still feel it at times and doesn't like it. One idea I have been toying with is taking one of the foam ear plugs and drilling a hole in the larger end so that it will slide on the locking post tightly. She may still be able to feel it, but it will prevent the hard metal post from hurting her. We haven't tried it yet but I will come back to this thread and report how it works. Not sure how long it will be until we have PIV sex again (sigh!)

MM did a custom " PET TRAP " for us, with a removable pin. The Base ring stays in place. It works so well I think it should be an option. We also had alignment pins added to the cage to stop the cage portion from rotating.

I bet you've had your PT for awhile.

Back in August of 2012 I sent several emails to William asking if he would do the very same thing you described and he said he was no longer doing those kinds of modifications.

I would caution against leaving the base ring on while sleeping and the potential effect of nocturnal erections. I left the base ring of the CB3k on after some playtime and in the morning discovered that edema had turned my penis into a terribly ugly and misshapen horror. I have no idea if that sort of thing could do permanent damage or if the effect could be cumulative, but I'm certainly not going to let it happen again- I don't want to be the one to discover that it could.

I have not removed my base ring in the last many months, though we regularly enjoy PIV sex. The reason : when my wife releases me, I attain full erection instantly, and then removing the base ring is practically impossible. So I turn down the locking post 180 degrees, which goes below scrotum, between 2 balls. I can comfortably have sex this way - may be I'm used to it. After sex, when my junk is flaccid, the first thing my wife promptly does is that she locks me back. Initially, when I was using 50 mm ring, I could remove it with little efforts. 45 mm ring is snug fit, & I enjoy it. May be I may shift to 40 mm ring after few months. I like the real tight base ring & cage!

Been there, tried that. Great idea in theory but not so much in practise.
