I would not expect a paperclip to keep you secure for very long! As the newness of this wears off, you will be very tempted to just slip that off! In my experience, it has been around day three of chastity that I get the horniest.
One step up, which would help while you are at work, is to use a lock but keep the key a distance away, such as in the car. Having to hike out to the parking lot to retieve they key will dampen the mood a bit. Or leave the key at home.
