So my wife and i want to make the switch from plastic to steel and my favorite so far is the steelheart, like so many others.. I'm not allowed to get a PA and after not finding any info on the other options on the forum, id like to ask if anyone has any experience or knowledge regarding the "fixing Made of Rubber" http://steelworxx.de/Fixing-made-of-rubber-45p.html or the Penisring http://steelworxx.de/Penisring-51p.html. In addition, i've not really seen anything on the Anatomical Ring http://steelworxx.de/Anatomical-ring-fo ... s-52p.html, whether or not it is any more comfortable than the standard ring and what size conciderations should be taken if ordering the anatomical ring, order smaller or bigger or the same as the normal ring...
Thanks

Re: Steelworxx Accessories advise
I have had quite a few chastity devices and the steelheart is by far my favorite. I don't have a PA (still hoping to one day though) so I have the some of the same questions as you do. I hope someone with experience with the rubber fixing or penis ring chimes in. I don't understand how the penis ring is even supposed to work, maybe I am missing something.
I do have both a standard and an anatomical ring for my steelheart. They also both fit the locking cock ring that I have. I personally do not like the anatomical ring at all and cannot wear it for more than a couple of days at a time. I have given up on even trying at this point. For me I think the problem is that the gap is a little wider with the anatomical ring so instead of trapping my balls it tends to squeeze them a little as they try to pull out. After a while this pressure gets to be too much and I have to take it off. I do not have this problem at all with the standard ring. Both rings are the same diameter.
I hope this helps a little with your decision.

Re: Steelworxx Accessories advise
I'm going to be getting a Steelworxx device myself. I have a different steel device.
You should completely avoid the "fixing made of rubber." I have a version of that on my current device and it is useless. I don't bother to attempt to affix it anymore.
I can't speak to either the Penisring or the Anatomical Ring. I'll probably get an Anatomical Ring to try it, at least. Atone, do you have sizing advice?

Can you expand on why the fixing made of rubber is useless?Whizbang wrote:You should completely avoid the "fixing made of rubber." I have a version of that on my current device and it is useless.

It looks like the same type as came with my device. If so, it relies on a small rubber lasso that you tighten just behind the glans.
It was impossible to get the tension right on the lasso. I'd usually slip out of the thing within a day.

That was my thought on the anatomical ring as well. I am glad I tried it, now I know (for me).Whizbang wrote:I'll probably get an Anatomical Ring to try it, at least. Atone, do you have sizing advice?
I found that I can wear a smaller ring with the steelheart than I could on my jailbird. I think this is because of the larger diameter of the rod it is made of. Following advice I got from Thumper I started with a slightly smaller ring to begin with. I am going to order a new ring soon that is even slightly smaller than that. I am using a 44mm now and will order a 42mm to replace it. I know that doesn't sound like much difference but I think it will be very noticeable. I might order a 40mm at the same time just in case.
I think sizing the tube is very difficult. I fortunately (depending on how you look at it) had quite a few other devices that I used to get the sizing close. The fully enclosed tube is very unforgiving to being too small. With the open design of the jailbird you could push things in to place pretty easily if there was a snug fit. With my snug fitting Steelheart it is much more difficult (although I did learn a new trick that I will share in a different post later). It is not our MO to take the device off very often so this isn't a problem for me. If I took it off every day I think it would get tiresome (in the snug tube).
I have a very short tube (I think it is 57mm), about 70mm overall. It is very compact and I have absolutely no concerns about it being visible under clothing.
One other thing on sizing, the diameter of mine is not listed on his website. In corresponding with him before the purchase I expressed my concern about one size being too small and the other being too big and he offered a different size that has been working out really well.
This is all that comes to mind, if you have any specific questions please ask.

Atone,
So are you saying that you are using the anatomical ring and that you like it? and because of the shape you are able to wear a smaller ring??

Sorry, no I did not like the anatomical ring. I thought I mentioned that earlier but it may have been in a different thread.Tasholeo wrote:Atone,

I think I can use a smaller ring because of the larger diameter (8mm v. 1/4") of the material it is made of. Could also be due to getting used to it.

Re: Steelworxx Accessories advise
Has anyone cut down the key for their integrated lock?
Chatelaine wants to retain the effect that wearing & having 'the' key flashing around has on me but our front door key is smaller!! The head could come off and a hole be drilled in the shaft. It doesn't take much effort to turn the lock either.
I'll probably ask a locksmith if the profile can be copied onto a smaller blank before cutting anything.
