(Another) MM Queen's Keep Initial Review

Post by MikeyLikes »

I just received (and put on) Mature Metal's Queen's Keep. I had ordered it back in June, and it was shipped just after I went on vacation at the beginning of July (a 2-week turnaround for MM), so I spent my vacation waiting in anticipation.

In any event, the wait was well worth the wait. I picked the unit up at the UPS center near the airport, and of course, had my pocketknife out as I was walking back to my car so that I could get the box open before I left the parking lot.

As others have said, the craftsmanship on these MM devices is superb. A very polished, well finished look.

Because of some early issues* I had with the 6000s, I ordered an additional base ring - one slightly larger than what I believed I needed (which is the 2 3/4" oval ring). So, when I put it on this morning, I put it on with the 2 3/4" ring. So far, in the 30 - 40 minutes I've been wearing it, it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing anything. It was also apparent that nothing could "slip through" either.

For sizing, I went with a 2" long cage, by 1 3/8" diameter with the (typical) 3/8" gap. Initial impression is that I did well on the sizing. I had ordered the sizing kit, and followed MM's directions for sizing, as well as the experience I had the the fit of the 6000s.

One other note (and I think this was mentioned in another review), is the weight of the device. Obviously, it is heavier than the 6000s (plastic), but it's definitely not ungainly. And also, very much more discreet under clothes than the 6000s.

I'll follow up with another review in a couple of weeks. I'm heading out of town tomorrow for work, and will hopefully not come out of the device the entire time. Will let you know how it goes (although I don't anticipate I'll have much to say at that time :D

Edit: Oh, and I should add that the customer service from MM was (as others have also said) second-to-none. They completed the build when they said they were going to, were very helpful and responsive during the ordering process, and were very, very cooperative in working with me on meeting my shipping needs.

* After trying different ring/gap sizes with the 6000s, I settled with the 2 7/8" base ring and 1/4" gap. While this was comfortable, my balls could (and did) slip through without any intentional help. The 2 3/4" ring rendered this impossible, but for the first few weeks, I could only wear it for a couple days in a row (was fairly uncomfortable). Eventually, I did get used to the 2 3/4" base ring, and could wear it full time with no significant comfort issues.

Thanks for the initial review. It sounds like I made the right choice, as well. Can't wait for our Queen's Keep to arrive. I look forward to hearing more of your wearing experiences.
