I’m beginning to feel a bit self conscious. I don’t mean to come off as a know it all about life. Thing is I became a high school teacher later in life, a second career of sorts. As a result I was always the old man at school and being a second career I had some real life experiences that many educators don’t ever experience. Therefore I was frequently consulted, especially by students, about my outside of school life experiences.
The end result being that this old man was often asked for my life lessons and advice. I guess it just became a second nature habit of sorts to share my ideas and opinions.
Point being it’s just who I have become. If I ever overstep my bounds anyone should feel free to tell me to back off. I won’t be offended, i have thick skin.
Just posting this causes me to reflect upon a time or two that someone has strongly expressed a dislike for my ultra conservative old school views.
Thank you for the introspection. Your presence is calming and you admonish us to enjoy life right where we are, with every post. You are the wise sage here, sir.
I gave ya some ribbing for "potentially" influencing Mrs. Emmi...but it's only because I'm slightly envious of what She and @KnownAsHerbert share together.
My Wife and I share in our own way and it's great, I am trying to find the stoicism that Herbi is able to exhibit.

She thinks the previous best might have been 13 "plus a day or two" already so the extra week, making it up to a full 14, will "make sure".
Personally, I don't see why it matters but what has it got to do with me?
Whether it was the expectation of being unlocked (because I did expect it) or not I don't know, but I've had a hard night. I guess I've learnt a valuable lesson about prematurely getting my hopes up...
