Okay, somebody had to do it. I asked the moderators on the TSA Reddit sub if I could post a question about wearing devices through security. They allowed it, and the discussion went up yesterday afternoon.
Overall, the consensus has been "We don't want to see your junk" and "It's just going to delay you and everybody else in line while we get more personnel to deal with it."
I was not there to argue with them, or debate the ethics of the American security theater. It was just to get their perspective on the kidn of questions that come up.

Very interesting to compare the responses at Reddit vs the anecdotal information about actual experiences that were presented here: https://www.chastityforums.com/viewtopi ... 63#p145063

Re: Serious question about wearing chastity devices through security
Personally there's no way I would wear one through security.
I have sympathy with airport security who have a difficult ĵob to do and its all about keeping us safe. If you must then wear a plastic one with a plastic lock, i assume that wouldnt cause an issue ?

Reading through it they can “see” the plastic ones as well so if they were being extra touchy they “could” cause you all sorts of grief. Have to say that reading the posts on Reddit has confirmed my opinion that having things in your carry on makes everything simpler for everybody.

Still having difficulty getting back into 24/7/365 chastity since covid. Very tender old man skin under the scrotum damages easily. Trying an HT Mk5 nub now. Love the fact you can’t pull out of it, hope my skin toughens up.

Even carry ons can be touchy. I went through the Cleveland, Ohio airport and forgot I had a Nerf hatchet in my carry-on for my son. Had three TSA guys with hands on their holsters when they asked who’s bag it was. They were reading me the riot act of carrying dangerous weapons in my bag and I kept telling them “but it’s Nerf”. Finally to resolve the issue while looking down the barrels of two glocks, I had to reach into my bag and pull out the Nerf hatchet with two fingers. I apologized profusely as I know they were doing their job.

In my opinion, TSA shouldn't exist. It should be handled by private rent-a-cops paid for by the airlines, like it used to be, and not with *everyone's* tax dollars. The only place we should have feds is inbound customs inspections, and maybe a state cop to take custody of any weapons found. I used to manage a company and had guards at Logan in Boston, the TSA is no better than what I had there. In some ways, they are even worse- they cost a lot more and some (many?) have over-sized egos and are major assholes.
As a PI I got hired by some of the airlines to periodically test their security and recommend improvements.

To clarify I'm a uk citizen well versed in travelling globally for business, so my commente relate not just to TSA but any countries security, and many make TSA look like your best mates.
There's absolutely no way I would risk anything of the sort in carry on or on my person for many, many countries., including the USA.
I find airport security serious lacking any sense of humour or sympathy, and for a very good reason. After Lockerbie and 9/11 these guys have a serious job to do and do it with my 100% support.
What we do is a bit of private fun, what they do is deadly serious.
