dbradshaw86, when I first read you post above I paused and thought "is he here hoping to hook up with a KH?" but I then thought it was just a wish for that someone you hope to find eventuality.

Twisted and I have been here long enough that we see the occasional new member join up with the sole purpose of soliciting.

It was merely an advisory, and a *polite* request to not engage in solicitation of other members for personal meets. In the context of your post, this appeared to be one of your intentions and I quoted the relevant portion to illustrate how you may have given that impression. That was *not* "picking holes in it and pulling it apart", it was merely showing you how your words could be perceived.

As a moderator, one of my functions is to protect members from such undesired solicitation, and it seems best to ensure that those who appear to have not read the Rules ( viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14 ) prior to posting understand this right off the bat.

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, so I asked politely instead of simply disapproving your post and banning you. I chose to provide you with the opportunity to continue with nothing more than a polite request, rather than simply assuming you were an idiot that needed to be banned immediately.

However, your snarky response gives me cause to reconsider whether my decision was correct. I could have just killed *that* post and banned you, but I'm a sucker for fairness (in most cases short of complete and obvious assholitis). Third time's a charm, right?

Hey DB - please do not take this personally. We have worked hard to make this web board a place where adults could have open and honest conversations without all the BDSM baggage that you see on a lot of other boards. Quite often we have guys sign up and immediately start sending PMs to the women here, which they don't like. It's just that your initial phrasing about meeting a special person online just set off a few alarms.
