Ok, I had a 2-1/8" base ring and switched to a 2-1/4" base ring. It stayed on but felt like it was on the edge of falling off. Uncomfortably loose. Amazing what a difference 1/8" makes.

So sticking to 2-1/8" and my wife will take it off when she's going to do really intense teasing - which I view as a positive solution :)

you'd be surprised at how much a tiny change in ring size can screw things up. Gap size as well.
I'd personally go bigger on gap and ring if possible a few sizes up, then work down until you find the sweet spot.

You can end up with swollen cords, end up being sterile, surgery, and many more things if you over do it. Best to be comfortable and less secure than dangerously uncomfortable and more secure. Remember, this isn't a porno to see who can be the biggest badass by fitting in something unrealistically too small. Real world has real consequences so please be safe.

You will stretch your sack over time, thus is how people drop ring sizes etc. If you felt like it was falling off with a larger ring, you should try using the same ring you had, and increase the gap. Remember, like said, gap and ring size play a HUGE part in things, and they are both independent and can effect things on their own, and as a pair.
