Nature versus Nurture

I was contemplating chastity today as a nature versus paradigm.

I'm learning that many seem to follow this common paradigm shift.

Nature, or the compulsion to pleasure oneself as a male of the species commonly necessitates the device and keyholder.

Nurture, or the dramatic shift in the males behavior patterns then shifts to drive the keyholder. She appreciates the nurturing affectionate male. That then drives the need to continue the enforced chastity, even when the problem with nature may be arguably under control.

It occurred to me that we began chastity play to control my natural impulses, however now I am locked up more because she likes me better that way, I am a nicer more affectionate man. I didn't see that coming, even though it is a common theme on this board.

The timing of your post is interesting. I asked for this to control those natural urges which had become a clear distraction. We tried two or three times over the past several years with little to no improvement because MrsL really wasn't interested. This time has been so much better as we eased in to it instead of me just handing her a key. Now, the nuturing has taken hold.

MrsL has been teasing me and keeping me amped up for two straight days. Last night, as she was continuing her teasing she told me she had learned so much in the past months but specifically the past couple of days. She likes the effect chastity has on me and our relationship. She likes the extra attention she receives (more massages, foot rubs, help around the house, etc. etc.). Most of all, she likes how sexy and in control she feels with me in chastity.

I think what you describe is a process one sees in a lot of vanilla-to-femdom relationships.

What's happening is that Femdom offers a lot of vanilla pleasures to the wife or girlfriend, and a lot of these pleasures extend nicely into kink.
