Let me first state that I'm in no way trying to "cheap-out" on this purchase.
My wife has agreed to give chastity an attempt as long as it in no way makes her uncomfortable. She's more vanilla than pure extract. By nature, a bit timid when it comes to trying new things in general. She's come a long way in recent years but still, reserved which is part of what I love about her. Were treading lightly for the first period of trial so to speak. We don't have a device yet. I'm just on the honor system and it's working so far, it's difficult but working. I want to know if there are any inexpensive devices out there that you folks would trust to recommend for a "starter" situation. I'd imagine wear would only be for 72-96hrs at max for the first several months. Then, I could use the sizing as reference to order a better device. A softer, more pliable material would be better suited for me since I am very active. I hunt, fish, ride motorcycles, work outdoors etc... I don't see a metal device being good for me except maybe on weekends or just for 'playtime'. Once were established in this new exchange, I plan on getting something better. I am thinking of a Holy Trainer for work and other active days, and hopefully a MM device for days off work etc... Urination is also a concern since I spend entire days in the field. I obviously pee while I'm out there. I can't have hygene issues or my pants getting sprayed with urine. Sitting down is not feasible for work, but is what I already to at home most of the time anyway.
I like the look of metal, but I believe she would find it intimidating.
If I could find two cheap enough, Id ideally like to get a plastic or softer type device AND a metal one...

Getting something that will fit properly with an inexpensive device is the hardest part. Measure your penis length and diameter when flaccid. Also measure for the base ring. With this information start looking at the devices and find one that is close to your measurements. Many times if you look there will be options for the base ring.
Usually there is a fixed size for the cage. If you have a choice between a few that are close, it's better to go a quarter inch to short than long. This will help with the comfort when active and when urinating.
Try looking at dhgate http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale/chastit ... 22029.html

I can't remember anyone saying their KH preferred a plastic/silicone device over a metal device.LockedTexan wrote:...I like the look of metal, but I believe she would find it intimidating.

Good info, I've been browsing DHG already. I've got my eye on a couple different ones. One of which looks to be a knockoff of a HTv1.

I also like the look of this metal CB copycat. And after measuring, the short tube is going to be better suited for me.

I've considered enlarging the front opening of whatever I get to make alignment for urination easier on the go. I have the means to modify pretty much any of these materials.

Re: Inexpensive devices...
We just did a really cheap and amazingly effective experiment. Used a 45 degree piece of PVC pipe from Home Depot, placed it over Mr. Happy, and M'Lady used medical tape to secure it in place all around the top and sides, then, pulled it over to the left leg and placed a piece of tape up high around the leg to hold the thing against the inside if my thigh - it wasn't too tight and wearing cargo jeans, you can't see it. Had a little 90 degree fitting/cap to put on the open end of the tube when I needed to go potty during the day, and amazingly, that setup worked like a charm! She wrote her name on the tape in Sharpie to ensure I wouldn't take it off and simply re-tape things later, but honestly, that ended up being extremely comfortable and extremely functional - all for about six or eight dollars.
I wouldn't sleep in it, but for wearing during the day or for play time, I'm certain we'll do this again. Took her about five minutes to tape it on me, and taking it off was a fun/humbling experience to say the least! Yanking that tape off (I'm shaved, but it's still medical tape), was an eye opener!
Good luck!

I remember about 5 1/2 years ago standing in the plumbing section when I was asked, "do you need any help". I said something like "nope, all set" but should have said "you just wouldn't understand"

Good thing you didn't use duck tape.

Happily secured since 4/2010

Well I have a skin allergy to medical adhesives such as those found in the tape and band-aids etc. so maybe that saves me from having to try that lol
I did find this one though, reminiscent of a jailbird in the bar placement. I'm in no way saying this is anywhere close to the quality or craftsmanship of a MM device. But it does look to be something decent to maybe try out metal.

Looks great except for the hinged ring. Search eBay for Male Chastity A158 as an alternative.

I've looked at that one too. I am just not crazy with the 'look' of the cage. It just looks bulky. Ideally I'd like the cage from the 081 and the ring from the 158. Unfortunately they do not attach the same or Id just buy both and try to combine them. I'm going for something as light as feasible.

Re: Inexpensive devices...
I'm in a similar situation to you, Locked Texan, in that I'm getting my first device. Faced with the plethora of choices I figured I would start with a CB-6000S, which seems to be commonly used and well tolerated. Looking around, I found one on eBay for much less than directly ordering from the manufacturer, and just ordered it.
Only to be informed here that I was certainly taken advantage of, and that it will be a poorly made counterfeit which will be painfully uncomfortable...
So, caveat emptor.

I'm pretty well aware how to spot the copycat devices, but thanks a bunch for the heads up
I'm going to order something this weekend most likely with the approval of my wife of course. She's also been looking.
