Downtime Sept 27th

We've had some downtime today, Friday Sept 27th. This was due to a mis-configuration of our certificate renewal. Or maybe more to the point, a configuration that hadn't been touched in 4 years and eventually was no longer deemed modern enough.

To make that more fun, our server alert emails are not sending, so we didn't know until the site failed

Certificates have been fixed; alert emails will be fixed "in due time" :harold

Hi, I don't mean to be a bother, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to create a topic! The forum pages tell me at the bottom that I can create one, but there is no "New topic" button or anything similar on any page (that I could find, with my eyes or Ctrl+F)

I apologize for posting here but I don't know where else to ask

When you are in the forum you want to put the new topic in you will see top left a red sign saying “create a new topic”, give it a click !!

Thank you for the response, there is no sign though! There is a red banner which has a link to the rules topic... but i've read through it all and didn't see i had to do anything to confirm that i read or anything like that... there's just no button to press or any link

If there is a pop up telling you there are cookies to accept - likely at the bottom - click it. It’s a GDPR thing.

Yep, none of those options are there for me. Perhaps there's some kind of lock on my account because it's brand new? I don't think that should be the case though, because at the bottom of the forum page, it reads

You can post new topics in this forum

I was curious myself. Went to the board index page and no ‘new topic button’

Clicked on a topic, then there was a button.
