I have been working on wearing my cage more hours each day. Due to the activities I'm involved in at work, it hasn't worked out very well wearing it while there. I spend long periods working at my desk and the sitting, even if I take frequent breaks, makes it very uncomfortable. I also sometimes have to attend long meetings that can be a problem and occasionally I'm out in the plant and that might involve climbing up ladders to overhead walkways or stooping down to view processes. At first I thought it would be the tube that would cause interior irritation but it is usually the base ring that pinches and inflicts pain and swelling. I can wear it all weekend without trouble but have a difficult time going eight hour at work. In addition to the comfort issue, I sometimes have to give presentations in front of customers and other managers and wearing a device somehow doesn't seem the best thing to be doing.
There is a private restroom as part of my office so I put my cage on just prior to leaving work. I wear it all evening and night and then remove it after I arrive back at work. Lately I've been waiting later and later to take it off in the morning, sometimes waiting till 10:30 or 11:00 am depending on my schedule. I have an MM Jailbird on order and I'm hoping that the JB with the oval base ring will allow me to wear it 24/7.
If the JB works out I'll be one happy guy but I will miss my present cage. The one I'm wearing is not custom made but it is sized fairly well for me. The thing I like the most about it is the urethral tube.

There are several things that make for more comfort and convenience:
I have taken the oft quoted suggestion to apply a small amount of lube to the bottom of the base ring to prevent pinching. The problem was how to carry this lube which in my case was a personal use silicone. The original container was too large to carry on my person and also not leakproof. Most other containers were too large or difficult to avoid spills. Finally I used an empty eye drop bottle. Small, discrete, secure and easy to dispense small amounts, I cleaned out an old bottle and now can carry it in my pocket for use at any time.
Also there was a problem with aligning the cage and ring on the JB until I found that it was much easier to line up both holes if I used the point of a ball point pen on the other side of the hole from the screw, pushing the plastic tip of the pen (not the pen point) into the hole to align the parts. Easy peasy.

It has been a week since I received the JB and I have had it on 24/7 except for about an hour that I spent with my wife on Saturday. I took it off just a few minutes ago to clean it and immediately replaced it with my A088 Looker clone. The JB has been much easier to wear but I'm still having a problem making it through the workday, especially if I have to sit in long meetings. Other than that, it has been easy to use and I have been sleeping through the night too.

Saying that I brought this on myself, my brother pulled out several fabric strips and proceeded to tie my hands together. After removing my shorts (we didn't wear underwear much in the summer) he then tied my feet in a similar manner. Ordering me to sit on the floor at the bedpost he then attached my hands and feet to it. I thought this was it but he then tied a slipknot into a piece of fabric and looped it around my genitals and tied that to the bedpost.
