Hello, your username is in blue and most key holders accounts har username in red as they have a “key holder status” and thus access to reserved topics. If you have not found out yet the term “key holder” is for the ones holding keys, as you. So maybe you would benefit in changing your account status to get access to key holder exclusive topics here in this site and maybe also get input from other with such access. Just a thought and speculation as I’m not among that group but instead one of the locked. All the best and good luck on this journey.

What type should I buy him?
As with anything in life, it depends. What do you plan on doing with this? Is this just for short term tease like a couple hours at most or are you guys looking for longer term wear. For short term guys can wear almost any style as long as fit is right. For longer term he has to be able to urinate standing up and clean under the cage. For some guys they can find a open style cage where a hand-held shower sprayer can clean it good enough. If he goes with a more closed design then he'll have to take it off for cleaning at least every couple days.

What I recommend is going on Amazon and find a device you like aesthetically. Most devices on Amazon do a pretty good job of providing accurate measurements. The most important measurement is the ring that goes behind the scrotum. If that is too tight then it gets painful quick and it won't be good to wear for more than a couple hours. If it's too loose then his testicles will slip out and the device could fall off. Get a piece of string and find the circumference behind his scrotum. Then measure the string on a ruler or measuring tape. The length of the string should be around 45-55mm. Most of the cheap devices on Amazon are made in China and provide metric measurements.

Once you get the all-important scrotum ring properly sized then the cage length and width is more about comfort and aesthetics. Unless your boyfriend is exceptionally large, or small, down there the cheap devices on Amazon are pretty much sized to the average American length and width.

I recommend checking out the brand on Amazon TERNENCE. I like they sell the individual components so you can mix and match ring sizes and cage styles. A new device, includes ring, cage and lock, will be less than $30. It's a good starter and see how the sizing works. They sell several different size rings so if you get it and it's too tight for your boyfriend then you can order just the next size up ring without the cage part. They sell different style cages: open, flat or closed. For your first cage I recommend an open of length 20% or so shorter than his normal flaccid size. The tip of his penis should push slightly against the end of the cage. Too short and erection attempts are painful, too long of a cage and he'll have trouble urinating without making a mess.

When he puts it on it should feel snug but not painful. I've found applying petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to the underside of the ring helps tremendously with comfort. It allows the ring to shift slightly and doesn't bunch up skin on the underside of my scrotum. I carry around a small tube of it they sell in the chapstick aisle and re-apply when I use the bathroom.

Once you both find something that is comfortable for him to wear then you can make the other changes to your relationship like teasing or whatever else your into. But finding a comfortable device that he can wear should be first. Expect to only wear it a few hours at a time at first and work up to longer lock ups. He will need access to the key at first in case something starts pinching or hurting. You can cause real long term damage by letting pain go down there. After a couple weeks if it's an otherwise comfortable fit he should be able to wear for multiple days if that is your goal. Just make sure he can clean under the cage and there's no pain. Good luck and enjoy the journey!

I'm sure herbi will be happy for you to message directly with questions.

As Herbi's keyholder, I will be equally happy if you want a keyholder perspective on anything. Are you set up to have access to the key holders area yet?

I will add my vote regarding the Cobra Nub. It was an excellent starting point for us. We've added steel cages to our collection now but the Cobra still gets used.

Good luck!
Everything's better with a locked male. Better still with a nude, locked male.
