I bought one of these. Couldn't take wearing the CB6000 anymore. It is definitely chrome plated. MY wife wants to play, however although I hate to say this, she likes to do things on the cheap side and does not want to spend the $ for a good unit. At least not yet. If you are planning to wear this device as is, I highly recommend that you only wear it for short periods of time. Take it from my experience. The rings can cause problems, especially on the bottom where the rings are welded together. The welds are not the problem..it's how tight the rings get in that area. The skin on the underside of your penis work their way into those spaces and start to develop light sores. They actually leave thin scabs in the form of rings on the underside of your penis. Not a pretty picture.

I modified this unit with a little work and have been wearing it 24/7 with no problems at all. Even bought a second one as I can tell that this unit will not last much more than a year or 2.

I have since modified the unit a little further and basically sanded everything and sealed the whole unit with a thin layer of "Liquid Weld" to create a solid tube effect. Only took a couple of hours. Trick is to let the mixture setup for a while before applying it to the device. Hopefully someday, my wife will give me the go ahead to purchase a real Steelworx Steelheart as that's basically what I converted this device to. I can wear this thing 24/7 for as long as my wife wishes without any problems.

It has taken a little patience and creativity on my part to live this lifestyle. ( And to meet my wife's criteria) but it has been worth it. We have never had so much fun and become so close as we are now because of it.

I agree on the hinge issue. The price seems OK, but not significanly better than other well known manufacturers.

I was thinking of asking steelworxx if they could make a tube with a similar cage on it. I like the steelworxx products except for the tube end. I also like the fact that several others here are pleased with their CBs from steelworxx.

I would lean towards the tried and true method. I've been looking at chastity devices for over two years now and both Steelworxx and Mature Metal have quite a positive following. I'm sure they could come up with something customized for you. Another aspect is the service after the sale. Will they gladly do modifications if needed down the road? Everyone (including me) has had positive things to say about their dealings with the person acutally making the device. That would be very important to me before I plunk down hundreds of dollars. Good luck with whatever you decide.
