I think that is rather unusual, you must have caught him at just the right time. I have probably received about 30 responses from him over the two orders and I don't think even one time I got a response on the same day. I almost always got a response sometime between 1 and 2 pm on the East Coast of the US, probably the end of a normal working day in Germany. I figured he either took care of emails at the end of the day or after his "day" job and before he started his "craft" job in the evenings. Not sure about the second though because I don't think I have ever got an email on a weekend.

I submitted a question about a product on his website earlier this week and it took two days at least to get a response. It worked but took a while. Maybe your conversation prompted him to go check the spam bucket.

I have a question to all you guys that have bought from these folks... I have read here and elsewhere that customer servoce is not so great...

CQ has been thinking of buying a full tube too... I am concerned handing over loads of cash to these folks and waiting for ever and ever.. what is the general consensus? Would you order if you had known what the experience was like?

Thanks for your views.

I don't know that I posted it, maybe buried in another thread.

Pretty much everything is different.

Smaller base ring
Larger diameter tube (35mm v 31mm) to accomodate a fixing (current tube was really snug)
Slightly longer tube (76mm overall including ring, 7mm longer), also to accomodate the fixing
Comfort ring on the tube
Fixing with Penis Plug

It doesn't sound like that tube would be that much bigger, at least not to me but it is a totally different feel with or without the fixing in place. I am sure I will post some of my thoughts on it after I have had a little more time to wear it, I have only been wearing it for 3 days now.

Sorry if I left the wrong impression, I have had nothing but excellent customer service from Dietmar.

He has answered as many questions as I have asked. He got everything right on both orders.

The first order had absolutely nothing as standard (ring diameter, tube diameter, length measurment) so I placed a "basic" order and then just changed things via email paying with paypal as we went.

English is not his primary language but he has always managed to get things across just fine. For my part I try to make sure that I am very precise in my questions and try to limit how many I ask. I do always ask for a confirmation of what I am asking. If I am not comfortable with the response I ask for a clarification.

Personally I think that getting a next day response from the owner of a small custom shop is pretty good. He probably doesn't have any staff. Try sending an email to any major corporation and see how long it takes to get a response.

I use paypal to pay, they probably have some form of mediation if you didn't get the product. My recent order only took 24 days and that included shipping to the US. The first one was 6-7 weeks but that is because I kept adding things to the order.

I am awaiting the arrival of my Steelheart, but I cannot complain in terms of the customer service I've received thus far from Dietmar. I had some questions prior to ordering, and he responded to most emails the following day (as Atone mentioned, the responses usually arrived afternoons US Eastern Time). I used PayPal and based on what other Forum members have experienced, i.e., Atone, Thumper, Elwood, and more...I am very comfortable that I will receive what I ordered :)

I will also add, I hope I have not mislead anyone. His customer service was great for me. No complaints at all. It will take about a month to get your device. But, all of the custom manufacturers take at least that long. But, I knew that ahead of time. No surprises or issues at all.

Most definitely. In fact, I am in the process of ordering a 2nd one and I would not go anywhere else but back to Dietmar.
