Edit: EDIT: Since the search function is not working, you can get around this by using the search engine Duckduckgo.com.
Open your browser to Duckduckgo.com, and in the search box, enter the term you want to search on (in quotes), followed by the phrase: site:chastityforums.com
Example: "CB3000" site:chastityforums.com
DDG will then show you a series of links that will all be to this board. Those links will not be redirected.
I'm not sure how it works, but DDG is a secure search engine that protects your privacy better than the big name search engines.

==================
Spammers were able to get by the site hosting service and insert a redirect script intontheb"View..." links that affects any subsequent forum viewing.
Until we get this corrected, please do not use the "View unanswered posts" or any of the other "View..." links at the top of the forum list on the main page.
Edit: The Search function seems to be the culprit, since links to posts found while using the Search box will redirect to spam sites. The View links all work off the Search engine.
At this point, all other links seem to work just fine.
Also, the links will redirect to spam sites, but as far as I can tell, will not cause any further damage. But please don't go experimenting, just in case I've missed something.
We're working with GoDaddy, the site host, and it's unfortunately not as fast of a process as we would like to see.
Thank you for understanding.

Tom:
I was unable to get here today (21 April) by linking via search engine results; they all took me to those other pages. I had to type in the site's URL. That worked just fine.
Hope you're able to get this resolved soon and thanks for attending to it.

Can you tell me what you mean? That is, did you open Google in your browser and search for "chastity forums"? And the links brought you to the spam site?
Edit: Duckduckgo.com brought me right here, but Yahoo and Google brought me to the redirect links. The script definitely seems to affect the search functions on the board. I wonder how that's affecting the outside search engines.

Re: PLEASE READ THIS: TEMPORARY LINK ISSUES - April 2016
If I type "male chastity forums" into the search bar, using either Google or Yahoo, I get the usual search results page. If I click on a link, I get taken to another site (there seems to be more than one). It's usually selling me connections to women in my area that want to fuck now, or some such thing. Other links that come up in the same search (like "The Great Chastity Experiment") all take me to the correct page.
On the other hand, if I type in "http://chastityforums.com", I get brought here to the correct page. I've tried using both Firefox and Safari and on two different computers.
Hope this helps!

Re: PLEASE READ THIS: TEMPORARY LINK ISSUES - April 2016
I'm kind of thinking that it is *Google* that has been hacked, not GoDaddy or the forum.
I started a clean browser (IE) with which I have not used previously to view this forum. I went directly to Google and plugged in the search term "chastity forum". When the results page came up and I clicked the link I watched the bars carefully and noted that it went to nezlobudnya.com which flashed a "Wait a minute" message and then switched over to tastefultime.com.
I checked the information and it posted the info below:
Address:
_http://tastefultime.com/a/web/en/v1/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fldrtrack.com%2Fep.php%2Fcsc895b%3A927%2F51641%3A97391.a97391s.16042315_04_97391_571b77465c2565
Referring URL:
_http://cdn.nezlobudnya.com/directclick/?aid=97391&j=1
Then I checked the History for the browser and it showed only these two sites and Google. There is nothing in the History that reflects any contact to GoDaddy or Chastityforums.com.
Tom, do you see any issues with my method and conclusion?

Hi!
I believe It's definitely the forum that's infected.
Popular open source software such as this phpBB tends to have security holes which are exploited (more often than less populsr software of course because its more economical) by spammers and other such people. This is why its important to keep the software batched up to date. The current exploit has most likely been able to replace some files used by the forum, such as search.php with its own versions that include redirects to porn sites. Unfortunately at this point it is possible merely updating the phpBB software might not be enough to solve the problem but you may need to manually find the infected files (unless all are replaced by fresh versions in the update batch).

On my phone, 3 different browsers will get redirected if I open a search in Google, Yahoo, or Bing. For some reason, Duckduckgo seems immune.TwistedMister wrote: Tom, do you see any issues with my method and conclusion?
All of those major search engines can't be hacked. Again, I think it's something in the phpBB search function. Possibly Google is reaching deeper into the search and grabbing our board search links, while DDG is just grabbing the first url.

I think that the update will replace the files; we do this once or twice a year.Albert Steel wrote: Unfortunately at this point it is possible merely updating the phpBB software might not be enough to solve the problem but you may need to manually find the infected files (unless all are replaced by fresh versions in the update batch).
The issue at the moment is that the GoDaddy server software is not letting us update to the latest phpBB revision. It claims that the new Rev is not supported. We have a trouble support ticket in, but I suspect that we are going to be pretty low on the priority list.
