Re: Holy Trainer 2 pull out
I was very upset when i realized how easy it is to pull out of the HT. But then I never did it to cheat ;) Now I am in a Contender and I have not tried really hard to do it but it seems to me that if at all possible it is not easy to pull out if sized right. Seems the HT is particularly easy to pul...

http://s7d5.scene7.com/is/image/Specialized/145268?$Hero$ this is my next (hybrid) bike - is it missing the sexy? C2W, it is a nice looking bike, and Specialized makes some top caliber equipment, but the name "hybrid" invokes the image of a Prius or worse, a minivan. While those vehicles ...

Re: Cycling 10% faster (2nd post)
I didn't think that they would add that much to my riding, but I have to say that I'm very pleasantly surprised at that 15% more power / speed that I seem to have gotten just in the last few months of the season. There is a remarkable power transfer difference when going to clipless pedals and shoe...

Re: Cycling 10% faster (2nd post)
My own fave is a Cannondale Synapse 105 (aluminum alloy). Mostly stock, but I'll be looking for a new saddle next season. And I just got the clipless pedals/shoes last year - after 30+ years of riding toe cages. Only fell twice so far  :-) Good choice. I call the Synapse my "old man's bik...

Dude. "Hybrid" and "sexy" do not belong in the same sentence, I don't care how much carbon you put in it.
(Cannondale Synapse 3 with carbon bars, Reynold Attack wheels, and Time Xpresso pedals... Zoom, zoom.)

Re: Cycling 10% faster (2nd post)
road bikes are difficult to ride with the devices on - according to Tom. Thanks C2W. After making this post, I did a search on cycling, road bikes, and saddles... There are a lot of historical topics and tons of good information. While there are some exceptions, it sounds like steel ball trap devic...

Re: Cycling 10% faster (2nd post)
Saddle comfort is big issue for me. I've only ridden my road bike (while caged) on my trainer. I'm concerned about being 25+ miles from home and something goes wrong with the fitting. However, I have found that raking the seat forward helps relieves a lot of saddle stress on the base ring. My saddle...

I'm a long-time lurker that finally signed up as a member. Seeing the additional forums for the first time made me realize the cost of my desire for full anonymity. As a (very) new member, I like the idea of having access to something extra for members. It's like having a key to the neighborhood poo...

Re: "Hello world" thread
Hello world. It's time for me to stop lurking on the sidelines and get into the conversations. To Tom's point, the reason this is an attractive board to me is because it strives to deal with real issues of real people.
