Serious question: how effective are 'open' cages?

Post by Curious_Sven »

Hi all,

Complete newbie here ;)

So, my apologies in advance if this has been asked before but...
How efficiënt are 'open' cages?

I have a CB6000 and a HT v5, both of which have a tube design. However, I'm thinking about buying a Cobra 3d because it looks way easier to maintain proper hygiene in due to it being open. This would mean i wouldn't have to unlock daily, so less effort for my (possible) KH gf as well as for me.

But now what i'm wondering is: isn't it very easy to orgasm whilst wearing one of these types of chastity cages, where you can just touch yourself between the bars and stimulate yourself if you like? Or is it way harder to do than it sounds?

I have 0% experience with these cages so bear with me if it's a stupid question :D

Thanks in advance!

Not a stupid question at all.

I started with a CB6000S (the short version) but for various reasons had difficulties with it. Someone on the forums here suggested that “smaller is better” (and by smaller it means that the cage is smaller than your flaccid penis as strange as that might sound). I was pointed in the direction of the Cobra 3D, either the “nano” or the “nub”.

My kh chose for me and I ended up with a Cobra Nub. Just big enough to hold the head of my penis and the rest of the shaft just squashed in. Sounds unlikely but it works.

I wouldn't say that the Cobra is particularly “open” though. Yes, I can touch myself but the holes are too small to do anything useful. I've worn mine for a 6 week stretch with only supervised unlocking for cleaning every few days, (up to about a week I think?). Maybe if I tried really hard to come I might manage it, possibly, but in normal use, you won't.

Since you mention hygiene as one of your reasons for considering a Cobra, I would say that I've found it really easy to keep clean. Not had any problems at all. Just the occasional release for a more thorough clean but otherwise just routine showering does the job.

I have to agree with Mr. Herbi on this one. Mrs. Groove keeps her penis in a nub almost all the time. We did daily removal in the early days. Any more three days is a short run for in depth inspection. Usually it’s 5 to 7. The nub is pretty easy to clean in the shower while intact. I have some gentle liquid soap that has a pleasant aroma to it that I use.

We both like that she wants her penis kept slick so a thorough wash and shave on a regular basis seems to work well.

I also need to support the smaller is better advice. I think it’s also easier to clean. She has an almost flat cage (I call it the stubby nub) that she will have me use if she thinks I need to appreciate the nub.

As for self pleasuring in the nub, good luck. She did get me off one time with a vibrator. It was difficult for me to get there and was not enjoyable at all. Just takes a little pressure off is about all it’s good for.

On a side note. Any advice on permanent hair removal in the cage area. I think if it was gone cleaning would be easier and I’m not so sure she would ever remove it until she wanted HER piv. (She comes, I don’t)
She says ‘it’s cute’ in the nub. ;)

Yes, good luck indeed. I have never managed it (the holes are just too small for fingers)
(We've never tried a vibrator on it though)

You can come in almost any cage with a decent vibrator, and like t&g says, It is not enjoyable. More if a prostate relief but no release from frustration.

As for cage designs, or open as you say, it makes no difference. You can't use the gaps to help you come.

Oo I would too but we have 4 cages and I like them all!
The Nub is rather cute and special though.

And to the original questions, yes it's lovely and secure.
You won't come in it easily if at all.
Everything's better with a locked male. Better still with a nude, locked male.

The other thing to remember is that sexual pleasure is 90% in the top three inches ……. of your head !! The other thing that you will come to realise is that the journey of arousal is vastly more enjoyable than the orgasm itself. A number of us haven’t orgasmed for months and even years, some are permanently orgasm free BUT that doesn’t mean they don’t have sexual pleasure, in fact I think all of them would say it’s their preference !!

Still having difficulty getting back into 24/7/365 chastity since covid. Very tender old man skin under the scrotum damages easily. Trying an HT Mk5 nub now. Love the fact you can’t pull out of it, hope my skin toughens up.

I will agree with everything that's been said so far. I am in small cobra currently (the nano should be here any day now). For me at least, there is little to no sensation when my penis is touched (either by myself or my wife). The holes are way to small for even a pinky to get into. In fact, if I need to adjust his position in the cage, I have to use a Q-tip to move him around. It seems the bars on the cage are strategically placed to limit sensation. For me, the cobra is the best cage for long term wear. I have been locked 23 days now. only unlocked for a few minutes once a week (supervised) for a shave and more thorough wash. Very easy to clean in the shower. My wife has said this lock up is for an undetermined amount of time, so good thing it's extremely comfortable!

I love those words "strategically placed to limit sensation".
It means that the lack of sensation is deliberate.

As you, and Herbi, have said, the holes are too small to get yourself off.
No secret that I love Herbi is the Cobra Nub.
I agree it's very good for long term wear.

Absolutely agree. No sensation. I call it the 'deep vacuum of space'.
Also agree that it's extremely comfortable. Can forget it's there.
Totally suitable for long term wear.

Total opposite of the steel cage that I'm wearing now where I feel everything. Hard trying to get to sleep. Waking in the night hard again. And frequent arousals even during the day. According to Miss Emmie, this makes it equally suitable for long term wear.
