Trouble posting on specific account

Post by Rufusstone »

I’ve been trying to post on MissEmmis account but it keeps sending me back to my previous post. Even if I amend that post, when submitted, the original post remains the same.
MissEmmi also reported an issue.
I can post to other threads though
Is it since the maintenance was done?

Do you mean, when you post a reply to a thread that she started? Or to her journal?

I do know that Miss Emmie ( @KHEmmi ) had been unable to post to her own [KHEmmi] journal.
On a couple of occasions I think. It seems a bit random / intermittent ??
In a state of readiness but... Nubbed.

Yes, posting to an ongoing thread she started in the Journey.
I’m logged in, press post a reply which just takes me back to my very last post, looking like im in editing mode

I am not having any problems, either on a PC or my phone. You might need to clear your phone browser cache.

Possibly so but is that simple to do and will I lose all my retained passwords? Thanks

I risked clearing the cache since internet advice claims that passwords not lost. Fortunately, it seems they were right!

FYI, clearing the cache should not lose saved passwords. Those are usually stored separately.

Just to add to this.
I have an android phone (samsung).

No problem posting on my own thread, or others (usually). However I do get a glitch when replying to a pm, and that does seem to be both my and web cache based.

In short it fills the header and pm box with a previous autosave, rather than with the current (re:) header, and the text box is pre filled with an autosaved massage that had already gone.
The autosave seems to be the issue for me.

This pre filled info will not send, even if deleted and replaced it will not send. It tries and then glitches.

If I log out/log in it gives the same. So does clear cache.

(Fyi the easiest way to clear cache is with the clean-up or optimise app that comes with the phone, or ccleaner free on pc).

In order to send or post when this happens, I have to log out of the forum, go to any other website/html, then clear cache, then return to the forum page.
Or clear cache/refresh the page.

Pm then opens with the correct re:title and a blank box.

Maybe this will be helpful?
Me. "I only got 30 seconds, that's not fair". C. "life's not fair, suck it up" :(

🤷🏼‍♂️ Nope. Android here, not doing that for me.
