I am still puzzling out how exactly to choose a device to fit me. Like many, I am a "grower," achieving a respectable 6-7" after an inauspicious start of around 2". Of course, for chastity devices erect length is meaningless, so throw that part out. So I say my flaccid penis length is 2 inches, but that figure depends on interpretation. In email exchanges with Mature Metal, who are fantastic to work with by the way, I have been told a device should "fit like a glove." When I lay my piece on a ruler , the distance from bow to stern is an average of 2.5". But when I slip into a CB6000S, which I am told has an inside length of 2.5", I find I am at least a half inch short of the end. I guess the loose skin is staying in the gap, which I keep at the standard 3/8". I don't feel like the inside diameter is too tight, being the standard 1-3/8", since no skin bulges through the useless side vents, and I apply silicon lube when fitting the device, so my meat should be fairly free to assume a natural position within the tube.
So in getting my next device, how should I choose my fit? I don't want the tube so short that skin bulges out of the device and get chafed (sorry, no enclosed tubes for me) but I want the penis to stay reasonably snug. Do I go with a larger diameter to encourage the gap skin to find its place indoors? Security is not the highest priority since we all know that we could escape any device if we put our mind to it, especially when my limp size is so small and pliable. Comfort (and hygiene, thus the open tube) is the main concern. Thanks!

Re: Fitting questions
Fit it flaccid, otherwise the extra room encourages growing in it and causes more rubbing and skin irritation. I wear a MM jailbird, and the design makes it very easy to clean and lets the skin breathe nicely. Communicate with MM - they've helped thousands of men deal with chastity, so they'll know how to best handle your sizing concerns.
FWIW, because I have a frenum piercing and captive bead ring with a second lock, I can't escape in any way that would not be known easily by my keyholder. But that's just a personal priority for me.

Re: Fitting questions
When you are dealing with any custom device fabricator go with their particular directions for measurement. Different custom makers measure in slightly different way. I would say to go with the way MM is telling you if that is the device you're going to purchase. These makers, as stated by Aarkey, have made thousands of devices and trust that they will make them fit properly. I think you'll find a vast majority are happy with the results.

Re: Fitting questions
I too am a grower though not as much as you. I measured 2" totally flaccid and they deducted 1/4" from that to make my cage length 1 3/4" and it has been awesome! Fits perfectly! They say on their page that " you cannot and will not be able to erect in our devices!" and they are correct! The most I do is swell a little, even when I stimulated enough to achieve a minimized/ruined orgasm!
