I have accumulated an embarrassing number of cages in the last three months. First ordered was the HT, but I didn't want to wait for it to come so I ordered this monster of a cage (I didn't think about how big it would be), then another, the Jailhouse, and a Bon4m... somewhere in there the HT arrived. (Anyone ever think about the irony of "my (device) came..." that that and you can't?) Then the HT sheath cracked (it was replaced for free).
Anyway, the first cage is in a landfill. Far too big, ring far too small, everything far too painful. The Jailhouse is plated and has consistently caused problems. The last time I wore it the plating was flaking and causing sores. It will most likely head to a landfill this week. Problems with the Bon4m too. The HT is nice, comfortable, but we like the openness of metal. She likes the look of metal around my cock, and what she likes matters!
So I ordered this one on eBay. Labeled A086, described as "stainless steel, no chrome, no plating. They were as good as their word. The same one is on DHGate.
Twenty four hours is not a fair test, I will admit. My problems with the Bon4m and Jailhouse showed up after about 48 hours, but this one holds promise. Comfortable, shorter by about 3/4" so it doesn't press into me, doesn't get twisted. I like the cap on the end - there is no way to stimulate the glans enough with fingers or a lubricated swab to cum. I tried, but impossible. Frustrated, but nothing else. This is good.
The locking pin has flat sides, the small ring on the cage corresponding flats inside, so that the cage can not twist in relation to the ring. NO GUIDE PINS! YEA! Nothing to poke me as I put the cage on, nothing to snag the stocking that I use to pull myself in. Shorter cage, so I'm always in contact with the end of the cage. My wife says that the cap looks like a salt shaker at the end. I say it looks like a shower head (pun intended)
The only problem encountered was that the gap was too big. I popped out very easily. Clamping the ring in the vise and bending the locking pin with a hammer to bend it down closing the gap to where I can not pull out, but it's still comfortable. I tried really hard to get out, and couldn't do it. I could close it down more, or open it up if needed, but for now it's good.
I like the Holy Trainer, but I want something that I can wear for days or weeks, getting out only when she wants me to, not because I have to, to clean every couple of days. We'll see how it works long term.
Entertaining side note - The two Chinese devices (Jailhouse and A086) came with "wolf dog" branded locks. They're keyed the same.
Yeh, another device..... A086 cage.

I have to admit, my first impression when I saw the picture was shower head. It looks comfortable but I would imagine it sprays like one?

Wolf dog seems to be the Chinese chastity lock of choice. I kinda like it. I have a similar cap on mine only with a tube up me too. (A088)
Counteracts the shower head effect. But the catholic altar boy within thinks of the holy water sprinkler thing (an aspergillum apparently). And that's just wrong.
Its not in the German hand crafted league, but they are surprisingly good.

Still in vaguely surprised every time I look down and see a wolfdog padlock there.

IMO, Wolf Dog had been a pretty crappy imitation of Abus. The corners were sharp, and I had to file, grind, and polish them down. The fit was a little sloppy, too. Maybe they're better now, but it's still Chinese mass produced junk.
If possible, look into replacing them with the older brass Master locks. At least you'll know those will continue to work after a few years.

I haven't used the Wold Dog locks at all - still using the one that came with the original device that I covered with heat shrink tubing to keep it from clanking around. Easier to use it than to change the keys on my wife's necklace. I now have 4 different small pad locks that came with devices, not counting the Magic Locker on the Holy Trainer.

I just like the name rather than the utility, probably could spring it with enough effort. Just amused that they seem to have such high penetration into the chastity market.
They need a slogan: 'turning your wolf into a dog since 1926'.

I have this same cage on order. Should be here in a few days. Can't wait to get it into my shop so I make a few mods on it and incorporate my anti-pullout design to it. fineline: Great review. Is it lighter that the Jailhouse? You are so right about the guide pins they absolutely kill if you pinch yourself when putting the device on. Also good job on reducing the gap between the back of the cage and the base ring. That is critical. These ringed cages are perfect for mods, even little ones. Hopefully it will become my new 24/7/365 friend.
Tom Allen: There is nothing wrong with the locks they supply. Just spend a few weeks at the beach in the salt water everyday and the lock becomes permanent. It will not open with the key at all. Permanent chastity, that's what we are all hoping for isn't it? I think the Chinese design it this way on purpose for population control.

Re: Yeh, another device..... A086 cage.
fineline: I got a surprise in the mail today. I was away on Saturday for the night with friends and found this device in my mailbox today when I got home. It is definitely stainless which is the only good thing I found about it. The cage fits very sloppy on the pin of the base ring. It was a little offset from holding the cage to the center of the the base ring which I fixed easily but it's still sloppy. After a little crafting, I was able to take a lot of slack out of the sloppiness which was a little encouraging. However the space between the rings is too wide and compressing them makes the cage way to short. I should have looked closer at the cage before ordering. I have ordered another cage like it with more rings like the jailhouse that should do the trick. Same seller, same stainless device, just more rings. I didn't try it on as that would have to be my wife's decision to let me out of my current device and that's not allowed. This one is going to the trash heap anyway. That's OK since she doesn't even know I have it yet and it only cost me $12.00 on auction.

Fineline: You still using the A086? How's it holding up to long term use? Currently in a CB6ks and could use something 3/4" smaller or so, and wanted to try a cheap steel device to help me figure out my measurements for a future custom one..
