Unusual Swelling

Post by Cosmo »

I've been wearing the cb6000s for some time without problems. I think the longest I went without removal at all was about 4 weeks. No problems. I recently switched to a Steelheart which I found very comfortable. Upon removal however I discovered what was obviously distressed skin along the sides of my penis and a hard swelling on the underside. Nothing hurt and function was fine. This was after about 4 weeks 24/7. The skin quickly peeled and healed like a sunburn and the swelling went away. This within about two days. I was convinced it was because the device was too narrow and I've sent back my base ring with the plan to have a wider tube matched to it. After two days of release I went back into the cb6000s. That was a week ago. I've just had occasion to remove it and discovered that the skin is just fine but the swelling on the underside had begun again. I'm distressed by this as I was sure I was getting close to a perfect situation and I'm sure there are lengthy lock downs planned for me in the near future. Were I to tell my wife about this problem I'm sure she would drop it all together. Anyone else experienced this or something similar?

So this is inside the tube, not under the ring? And there was no pain?

Correct. On the underside of the penis, below the head, no pain whatsoever, just a big hard-ish lump that slowly goes away once released.

The skin thing I've had, but not since I stopped wearing the CB6K as far as I remember. The lump thing is new to me. Odd that it doesn't hurt. Sounds like some kind of constriction to me. I can see that in a CB6K since the tube is oval and kinda of flat. How big around was the Steelheart compared to the CB6K?

The steelheart was around 31mm - it's always hard to say the diameter of the cb6000s since as you point out it's oval and the head section is considerably wider. But this never happened before in the cb6000s even after long use. It must be that the steelheart was too tight and perhaps now just carries over to the cb6000s. Yes, no pain and a bit shocking to see. But it goes away quite quickly. Just would love to know how to prevent it particularly since I'll be ordering a new steelheart tube and would like an idea as to what diameter to order. And I know that once it's back on I'll be worried about it since I can't see or feel it.

That sounds exactly like the raised bump you get from where the two edges of the corona meet in a V. Since there is a natural space there, this area of the penis can expand when in a tube while the rest is compressed, and often comes out looking raised and slightly hard.

So I've now been in a wider 35mm tube for almost two months and I'm certain the same issue is happening. I'm reluctant to ask for release if this isn't a big deal. No pain but I can tell there is the same kind of build up pressing as before. The last time, once released, it went away after a day or two. I'm guessing the same will happen here and that this isn't a big deal, or ...?

Sorry to hear you might be having trouble (still).

I would ask to be let out for an inspection. If everything is fine just go right back in. If there is an issue now is the time to deal with it.

Thanks Atone. Interestingly I'm wondering if it has something to do with the level of stimulation and thus constricted space. I recently printed off the 'advice for couples' keyholder section (with some personal changes - I will post there as well) and showed it to my wife who read it. She began implementing some of the simpler ideas right away to great effect. Typically, I'm left quite alone without any teasing so things are pretty calm down below. But with this increase in tease I was aroused pretty much 24/7 for a few days. Those days correspond directly with what I perceive to be the swelling within the tube. Now, a day later with less tease and the swelling seems to have decreased. The theory of course is that there is more space the less excited I am thus no need for localized swelling. Anyway, we'll see. Doing everything not to have to ask to take it off. I would hate for my wife to grow concerned and thus want to stop our play.
