CB6000 broken....brand new

Post by curioustncpl »

What to do? I can't return get it replaced because I'm pretty sure I didn't buy it from an authorized retailer. Therefore, I'm stuck with a brand new device that I can't return, can't replace, and worst of all, can't wear.

The cage portion is starting to separate at the base, top and bottom. It has little grooves in it where it comes together. The top side is separating all the way to the head portion of the cage. The under side is separating halfway down the shaft (half way down the little grooved part. The underside is the main problem since there's nothing helping hold it together.

Surely someone on this site has had this happen and has a solution. I have contacted the person I bought it from and also contacted A.L. Enterprises. I'm pretty sure both are gonna say I'm screwed. It's my own damned fault. I didn't research return policies enough. Finally got my wife to agree to this, but I doubt she's gonna agree to go out and purchase yet another device now.

There's a lesson here...

That said, you bought it *someplace* so why aren't you contacting them?

Plan B involves a lot of superglue, BTW.

Well, I have contacted them. Just waiting for an answer back. Probably won't get one though. It was purchased on ebay from a user with 100% feedback....several hundred feedback results.

My original cb6000 broke in the same way. Clean the edges and use glue. Worked for me and have used it a lot since that incident.

Super Glue works well on a lot of things. You might be surprised at some of the things I've repaired with it. It should work quite well on polycarbonate.

Separate the cage halves, and clean up the seams with some medium-grit sandpaper, until the halves smoothly fit together again. Lightly rough up the edge of each half so glue will adhere better, then wipe the edges clean and verify fit again. Finally, moderately apply super glue all the way around one half, and fit the cage back together again. After glue has dried, sand away any glue protrusions inside the cage, unless you WANT an irritated penis. After following this, the seam should be the last place your cage will ever break!
