Or to be more grammatically correct, in the 'Middle Aged'.

I'm referring to those of us in our 40's,50's or 60's which appear to be a significant proportion of the posters on these forums and the attraction of MC to our (mid 40's here) age group.

Is it that it distracts from a failing libido by reducing the pressure to perform as often and/or replacing the emphasis on PIV sex with other loveplay?

Or possibly after going through the 'parental wilderness' we have the time to re-discover our partners and selves and devices are there to be discovered these days. We're at a place in life where we can do as we darn well please and this is what pleases us.

I thought your comment about most of us being in on 40s, 50s,and 60s was interesting. I'm 46. I became interested in chastity when I was 43. My wife and I stated male chastity as part of our life when I was 45. I wonder what the demographics really are. You might say that I'm from WASP background. Do you think this is a kink for this particular portion of the population or is male chastity much more widely spread?

Although it was after 40 that I discovered male chastity devices and the eroticism they inspired, I have a number of memories of thoughts, dreams and experiences from when I was young (even pre-teen/puberty!) which lead me to believe that I have always been 'ripe' for it but never had a frame of reference or external input that would allow me to recognize (at that time) what it was that I was 'looking' for. It was only later in life that I was able to correlate the the eroticism that I experience now with the latent feelings I had then.

I was around 45 before getting my first chastity device, a CB2000, from JT's Stockroom. At this time the 3K wasn't available through them.

Going back in years I used to make LRC uncomfortable sometimes when having sex. She always liked another orgasm from intercourse after an orgasm from oral. Sometimes I felt so satisfied mentally that I wouldn't climax and, at that point in time, really didn't care if I did. She would ask me if I climaxed and when I said no she felt compelled to pleasure me. Many times I was able to convince her to just go to sleep. At this point she was relaxed enough that she wouldn't argue much.

She always felt she "had" to give me an orgasm the next day. She had been raised to believe that a man was always to be satisfied and the woman's was second priority. LRC couldn't understand that I could receive satisfaction just from pleasing her. But, this is exactly what she believed.

This went on at least fifteen years before starting chastity. Almost every time it was a discussion and LRC just couldn't understand why I didn't want an orgasm when she had a couple. She said that a few times it put thoughts in her head that I was cheating on her, even though she had no doubt I was true.

The whole point of this ramble is that I was in my late twenty's when I wanted to give unrequited satisfaction to LRC. It wasn't until I was older that the devices were available to me. If they would have been available when I was in my late twenty's, I am positive I would have got one.

Funny how that works. I was interested in male chastity when I was 15 and actively fantasized about it since then. I'm 48 now. Everything I read about male chastity involved FemDom, sissyfication or other BDSM aspects. Great wank fodder but I didn't really want those other things. It seemed they were all integrated until I read the Male Chastity Blog That Sarah wrote. If that information was around when I was younger I would have done this so much sooner. I'm older and a bit jaded when it comes to sexual matters so finding info on vanilla chastity just so happened to coincide with being married to a sexually open woman that I trust. I had no problem bringing it up to her and she was open to it and it's been great so far.

The short answer: I didn't find the right info until I got older.

From a KH perspective, I think the whole chastity thing started out as sexual novelty and evolved into a good way to live our lives. Perhaps I wouldnt have had the maturity to realise this when I was younger - or indeed been in a position to want stability for my family. As a woman with a young child, taking the reigns of our sex life removes what could have been a point of tension. Regardless of if we had been in an FLR or otherwise, had my hub regularly thrown a strop because he was horny and I was often too knackered to "oblige" I genuinely believe the resentment (on both sides) would have made the relationship deteroriate. Once marital sex is seen as a "duty to be done" that relegates it to the level of doing the laundry - who wants that?

I'm in my early 40s now (wife is mid 30s). I think I first stumbled upon orgasm denial on the web in my 30s, maybe 9-10 years ago. That led to a fascination with orgasm control and chastity devices. I can trace many of these thoughts and desires back 20+ years, without any progression until the past year or so. It took time to come to terms with what I wanted (needed), and communication to convey these desires to my wife.
