Steelworxx Ring Discussion

Post by Locked4Xtine »

Hello all, I am currently looking to get a Steelworxx CD and thought it might be a good idea to pool everyones experience with the many different ring options he has.

As far as I can tell there are:

Normal A ring (with or without intergrated lock)

Anatomical A ring
(with or without intergrated lock) - curved toward anus at base of ring to curve to body's shape better

Hinged A ring - not available with intergrated lock - with rubber protector over hinge and locking pin

Bipartite A Ring - not available with intergrated lock - 2 Piece Ring with locking pin

A Rings with Spikes - (with or without intergrated lock)

Please chime in your experience with Steelworxx rings!

Re: Steelworxx Ring Discussion

I myself was originally leaning toward the Normal or Anatomical A Ring, but recently I have been thinking I love the quick removal the Cb6000 allows and am now leaning more toward the 2 Piece A Ring.

However I worry the metal join on the side of the ring may pinch more than the CB's plastic joints.

Does anyone have any experice with the hinged or 2 piece Steelworxx rings that they can share?

Thank you!

I don't like the "Anatomical" ring and never wear it. I think the problem is that it creates too much gap and I find that uncomfortable.

I would definitely get the integrated lock, it is very solid and very discrete. It also uses a real key unlike many of the other integrated locks out there. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I don't have any experience with the hinged or 2 piece rings but I would stay away from them based on my experience with the CB rings. I think I have found the smallest ring that I can fit in and I can get it on off without too much trouble. I am sure I could get a smaller ring on / off but wouldn't be able to wear it through the night. If you find yourself needing to take the ring off frequently while you are aroused then the multi part ring might make sense. We don't have that problem :)

Are you sure the Bipartite ring is not available with the integrated lock? I thought that too but then saw a picture of one somewhere. You might want to check with him if that is what you want.

We've ordered a Steelheart with an integrated lock and a dual cock ring 'front' that shares the lock so it can be swapped without taking the 'A' ring off.

I've gone for the size that matches my homemade device's loop and although it's only 3mm larger than the Comfort Ring on the tube, I took the time to sleep, get hard, get soft, piss and live with a curtain ring of that size for a while before placing the order. It could be too tight at first but given the extra weight of a metal device I went for snug over slip.

I have both the Normal and anatomical ring for my steelheart, 44mm and 42mm respectively. I find that i prefer the anatomical ring because it allows my nuts to hang more naturally and does not fan then out like the normal ring does. the normal ring fans them out in a way that it pushes my nuts out and up a bit which i found leaves them more open to being accidently hit against something or squished more against my pants. the draw back i am finding with the anatomical ring is that it has been more uncomfortable at night after a day or two. Now i don't know if that is becuase of the shape or that it is 2mm smaller than the normal, or that after being denied for two plus weeks my nocternal erections were getting just a bit bigger. i may need to spend more time in the larger ring before i try the anatomical ring again. the small ring is more comfortable to wear during the day so i hope it doesn't take too long to adjust to it.

Despite any "con" ive depicted here the steelheart is infanitly more comfortable than the CB6000 or short model. this was a compairison between the two rings and over all both are very comfortable to wear for me at least

I have the Bipartite A Ring. I would not recommend it. The joint has sharp edges and pinches and causes irritation. The joint is also held together with an allen head set screw which is difficult to work with. So, I end up just using it like a solid ring and putting it on already put together.

No experience with the hinged ring.

I am wearing the "normal" A ring with integrated lock on my Steelheart. I have both a 42mm and 43mm ring. I've been mostly using the 42mm ring and have found it to be very comfortable. I was comfortable in my cb-6000s, but the Steelheart with the normal ring is far more comfortable. One of the things I noticed almost immediately is that it never pinches me in my day to day activities. I did have occasional pinches in my cb-6000s.

I'd get a solid ring with an integrated lock. As the others have pointed out, the hinged or bipart rings leave seams that could irritate over time.

I'm a big fan of the anatomical ring. I've tried two different sizes and wish I still had both. Different story as to how it lost one of them. With the flat rings, I've always found that I get that evil burning sensation right at the base of my balls. (is there a name for that?). The anatomical ring provides just a wee bit more space for the scrotum to squeeze through, which did the trick for me.

The downside is that you increase the risk of one of your balls popping back through the ring. Which, in my case, sounds more painful than it is. Mostly just a nuisance. The problem can come when the other ball pops through and the device falls down your pants and on to the floor. Fortunately I've not had to deal with that as my PA holds it in place just fine.

Yes, it's called "the evil burning sensation".
