How are you reading the forums?

Back when we created this forum, a lot of users came here via their home PCs or laptops. But there is better technology for mobile browsing, tablets & phones have gotten better, and more people now pick that option.

As we look to possibly change our forum software from PHBBB to something more modern, we would like to know how all of you - and especially the most active of you - are reading.

After polling, please drop relevant comments for us.

I find the phone is ok for a quick check in and to post brief updates, but for writing longer messages the phone isn't very convenient. I prefer a proper full-sized keyboard so use my laptop.

I'm between two stools - it is primarily my desktop (yes, I am a dinosaur!) rather than my laptop, but also my iPad and iPhone when away from my desk. As Herbi says, it is much easier to type on a proper keyboard than on a mobile device.

I only use my iPad, which I do not have connected to any other devices except WiFi. I love my PC for gaming, shopping, and emails, but all of the “helpers” and extensions Microsoft has added to everything means everything I do on it is copied somewhere and stored in the cloud.

Nearly always laptop for me.
Phone just too small and fiddly except but sometimes use it to browse, rarely to post.

iPad for me. Laptop got compromised a year ago and I refuse to buy another.

My phone.
I write faster with my phone than my computer anyway.
There’s a few weird autocorrect’s now and then, but that’s a small price to pay.
