I don't think you have to worry about it if you are only doing so occasionally... The only thing I did to maintain it was add a couple drops of oil (gun oil - not the sex lube but the kind you use on real guns) about once a week.

That might be a little hard to come by in these parts though. We're not so partial to firearms on this side of the pond. I imagine sewing machine oil would probably be the local equivalent.

Don't know if it's available there but, 3-in-1 oil would work well. It's has a rust inhibitor in if and I'm not sure if sewing machine oil has it.

After a bit of housework and some surfing porn I felt a small burning at the back of scrotum so I rubbed a little more gun oil on the inside of the A-ring which resolved the matter more or less instantly.

Yep, keep it lubed up and you should be fine. Based on my experience, that's probably the start of your sack stretching a bit, though the plastic tends to grip pretty well.

Not only that but it may also be more comfortable. I was hanging free on monday and had to fidget around with things about twice as much as when I am wearing the device. Tuesday I wore a locking cockring and that was better, at least psychologically. Wednesday I was back in the tube, everything was great again.
