That's what I tell people any time I get asked. I tell them I have jewelry down there and then I tell them that if they have a private room I'm not embarrassed to show. They usually back down pretty quickly because they don't want to look at my junk LOL. But I'm not bluffing either. I don't care if I have to show my cage. I have a few tree rehearsed speeches that I give the people depending on their age and what type of person they appear to be. The speeches range from topics such as love and dedication and commitment and then sliding down the Spectrum all the way to my wife and I are super kinky

Today at work, I unexpectedly had to go into a building with metal detectors. I normally switch to the Nub on such days, but not today. I’m happy to report the Contender did not set off the detector. I’ve read that’s likely due to the grade of stainless steel in a Contender.

I had steeled myself (PUN!) for questioning and decided to go with “I have jewelry.” Hopefully this means less time in the Nub.

I stopped switching from my Contender to HTv3 for airport security earlier this summer. I've been on 4 trips now, so 8 screenings. Yesterday was the first time I set off the detector. But the first thing they do is send you thru again, and that didn't alarm, so I didn't need to explain. I guess that makes me 8/9 times without setting off a beep

I have thought about going to the courthouse and explaining to the deputy on duty about my 'jewelry' and asking if I could pass through the detectors to see if they would pick up my Jail Bird. Haven't worked up the nerve just yet. Most of when I go there I am armed and after clearing my LTC they know my weapon is going to set the alarms off so it is never questioned.

One night I was wearing jeans and it did go off. I have a bigger (not giant) belt buckle on those. I'm thinking "oh shit" as they use the wand and it beeps at my crotch. My wife meanwhile looked like she was about to die of embarrassment.

I lifted my shirt and they say the belt buckle, and waved me through.

I don't know if the contender doesn't set it off, or if it's too little but the combination with the belt buckle was enough. But having a belt buckle large enough to trigger it is enough explanation.
I recently had a very similar experience there. Was there for two days, and on the first day it went off after I had put phone and wallet in the tray on the side, but Contender still locked on (wife didn't care to bring the key). I got wanded and it kept going off but I was wearing a belt and they just let me pass through after inspecting the buckle.

For the second day, I got up early so I could go through by myself without causing an incident with the family in case they wanted to inspect more closely. I was standing in line waiting to be singled out and humiliated, I watched the guy two people in front of me set it off, then it was my turn and I passed through without triggering it. Haha! I felt so relieved. I had also planned on just saying I had some jewlery down there if it happened again, but luckily on the second day I got through without a problem.

Now to find a master lock with surgical grade stainless steel. I'm thinking what I bought at Home Depot won't make it through most metal detectors even if my Jailbird would.

Hi - just asking again about airport metal detectors and locks.... If I have a plastic holy trainer, is there a stealth lock that isn't metal/brass? Is there a plastic version so the cage is completely non-metal? Are there cages like that?

Thanks!

The teensy lock on the HolyTrainer isn't going to set off any detectors....that's less metal than on the zipper of a pair of jeans. (And I went thru airport security at least a dozen times in an HTv3 without a single alarm...before I switched to a steel MCN Contender, which I've now worn through security about 20 times without a problem!)

The security doesn't have a problem with those? How comes?
