Re: How does the body adapt?

My experience is that a larger ring ultimately is much more wearable. I use a 45 mm ring. I don't get a lot of slippage. The top of the base ring definitely moves down the penis a little bit. There's always a bit of shaft showing. However, the cage is short enough to take that into account. You are right to take off the smaller cage when you noticed unusual bulging the penis. It's unlikely the cage will fall off or a ball will slip out with the larger ring. I just consider that little bit of movement normal. If I start getting hard, the pressure against the cage and base ring prevents any slip at that point.

Rooster, you 've been doing this long enough that you are supposed to get a partial erection at the prospect of being uncaged.

I have a cage and a separate c-ring of the same diameters; the cage fits great, the ring is too tight and becomes painful with erections. But I think this is normal; the cage itself should keep your excitement under control enough that it's not as big a problem, no pun intended. But no way to know without actually trying it around the house with the key and some ice at the ready. I can also say, though, that with a properly sized cage gap, you don't really need to worry too much about the ring size, unless your guy is popping out the top.

I recall reading an interview by porn star Nina Hartley. She was talking about anal sex and she said something along the lines of "sometimes you might intellectually want anal sex but your ass has other ideas and doesn't cooperate". I've found that's the case with putting on the chastity device as well. Sometimes I want to lock up but my balls don't cooperate. I realize that I could take a warm shower to get each testicle more loose, but I just think it's funny how they can sometimes refuse to be locked.

 Ain't that the truth.

I've had days locking up that when I'm done I've thought "I should post a video to those newbies as a guide to how easy locking up can be".

Then their are the equally frustrating days that I think afterwards, "Glad I didn't do a video of this mess"

Even when we took breaks from chastity device wearing, I'd usually wear a stainless steel cock ring 24/7.

Also, putting a device on in a hot shower is much easier than in a cold room.

Yes, sometimes I'm practically a reverse Houdini in how fast I can lock up - LOL.

You're right Tom, a warm shower definitely does the trick.

Ring and gap size have been key for me. 42mm seems to be my sweet spot for the ring. And I found out 15mm on my first Steelworxx was too much since one ball escapes at 15mm. I went down to 10mm on my second device, my Looker 3 and it's just about perfect. I need a custom sized device for the right fit. Some guys are lucky, and do well with an off the shelf sized device.

I’ve learned that my margin of error is much more narrow with plastic than steel.

Example: my MCN fits all of the time, regardless of body temp, etc. I’m between sizes on the Nub. I wore the smaller ring without issue Tuesday. I had to wear it again today and had to pull over to switch to the larger ring. It was excruciating and all conditions were the same as Tuesday. I just couldn’t make it work today. I don’t default to the large ring because it can pull so far off my body.

Lesson: quit your job if you have to wear plastic. Hahaha
