Sea & catheter

Post by Chasturetr »

Is it possible to swim in the sea with a cage with a catheter?

That would depend...on whether one already knows how to swim...

I would recommend finding a way to plug your urethral insert to prevent ambient water from carrying bacteria up inside.

I think there might be a distinction between a catheter and a urethral tube.

Shouldn't be any problem with catheters since this is a closed system from your bladder to a leg bag or other urinary collection device.

Urethral tubes, at least the one on my device, are open-ended so you'll get as has been mentioned, seawater up there. Probably though not much more chance of infection than just wearing the tube anyway - which is why I daren't wear mine and it lives in a drawer.
