Length of tube vs curve of tube

I originally posted this in the Pros and cons of very short tubes thread, but realised that my answer had inadvertently hijacked the original thread by becoming a question in its own right, so I now post it here instead.

I am locked in the Uberkinky Stainless Steel Spiral - short version (it's the device in my profile pic - though that picture is of the regular length version). I have found a fairly effective cleaning routine that means I can wear it almost indefinitely (I will have been in it for 7 weeks tomorrow without so much as a sight of the key).

Now, with the Spiral you can gently compress the loops which make the tube shorter, but straighter. In the short version, I have tried it squashed as short as it will go. This is very snug for me and my glans totally fills the end part of the tube and I am right up against the end pretty much all of the time.

The problem for me is that I can still climax whilst caged. Indeed, in some respects it makes it almost *more* likely that I will cum when I get "close to the edge" because it kind of "grips" me and even if I stop what I'm doing, the tightness means that I can't stop the inevitable climax.

I have just thought that this may be because the tube is straight. When an erection starts it sort of tent-poles out (yes it drags my balls up with it) but even though I cannot get fully erect I still manage to climax (I can cum without needing to be fully erect).

So I have just bent it back into a curve, wondering if being curved will make it harder to climax (only just tried it so I can't report anything yet) but of course the internal length of the tube is now longer. I now find that I am, for the most part, a good 1/2 inch short of the end of the tube.

I have to say that, so far, I find the shorter length more comfortable, but I am more interested in efficacy.

Does anyone have any advice?

You need a short custom device. Something with less skin exposed. The Looker designs from Steelworxx can cover the head. Then have him add more bars to the cage. You can still clean but so little skin is exposed that you can't get off.

Yes, I take your point. My problem however is that I'm not circumcised. This means that there is a lot of skin that needs to be taken care of and, more importantly, cleaned.
I will look into this however.
