No longer being a 'spring chicken', or rooster as the case may be, I've found that my response time has slowed even without being caged. Being caged actually does the opposite, I think I respond faster when the opportunity is presented.

I'm in agreement with TM as I'm now pushing 61.

I'm not rock hard all the time but it doesn't take more than a little attention by my wife after being released to get there.

So my wife and I are a bit new to this... Neither of us are interested in loooong periods of lockup and total denial for me. The other side of me thinks that after straining and being restrained my cock was kinda "tired" and being initially freed was an opportunity to rest as sometimes I do feel like the base of it, under my balls, gets alot of pressure... thoughts? I haven't read all the replies, but I do know that what is a "loooooong period of denial" for some is a blip on the radar for others. For me, the times when I was very consistantly locked and not allowed out often, when I was finally released, my erections were not 100% hard. And I have read many other men say the same. How long that would take varied a bit, when I went 28 days locked up without being allowed out for a single erection, I was probably at 60% strength. The times when I would be locked up for a week, allowed an orgasm, locked back for 5 days, allowed an orgasm, locked for 10 days, allowed an orgasm... eventually my erections would not be as strong.

With my last keyholder, she would insist that I was allowed out every 3-4 days to shave and be "inspected" which was pretty much just an excuse for her to tease me a bit. I found that with that process, my erections were always at or near 100% without any issue.

Anyway, just my experience. I have never heard of anyone suffering long term damage from wearing chastity for a long period of time, though as with any part of the body, if you inhibit it, over time it will atrophy a bit. Though the penis seems to come back fully pretty easily enough.

I am almost certain that by being constantly pressed this is going to remove some sensation from the glans. I am also certain that this is temporary.

The issue is my Wife tends to get a need on the spur of the moment and other than this I am locked up 24/7. We have already realised I need time for my penis to recover when it is released. Generally speaking a shower and a massage, plus some time spent pleasuring my Wife will give me plenty of time to relax. Taking my device off and expecting an immediate response is not going to happen. Not that it happens very often, the last time she got such a need was mid December

Same here. I finally had a discussion with my wife about this. Not trying to top from the bottom I told her that I can't just be released and expected to satisfy her with PIV without at least a little attention from her down there.

a quick update.
I am now in the Contender, took the device of for some play time yesterday and my dick immediately showed respect to my wife by rising. Perhaps my previous observation about the dick not wanting to get hard have something to do with the HT. Will report back after a few more sessions :)

My first erection after being caged is usually perfect. But future ones if not recaged can be difficult to maintain. I think it is from fatigue of being squeezed and straining for so long. But it is not permanent or chronic. Things will return to normal usually in a day or So. I had the same concerns when I started wearing it on a regular basis. But you should be fine unless you notice unusual pains or discoloration. My only problem now is some irritation underneath and nocturnal erections which hopefully will be alleviated some with the larger ring I ordered
