Well, I'm not a male, so I hope you don't mind me answering, but, I have asked my partner to carry my purse a few times, but it's never for long. It's usually because I am trying to do something that I need my hands free for.
I don't carry a purse regularly, either, or else he might carry it more.

I don't carry a purse either but I used to use a flowery mini backpack to carry my stuff and there have been plenty of times where he has carried it for me. Even by his suggestion to help my back if we were walking a lot our something.
I don't think it's odd at all and a pretty vanilla thing even! However an awesome thing to be required to do in chastity and flr's.

I carry purses for my wife or my Mistress quite regularly. I will hold their purse. NO problem and it has nothing to do with Mistress being my KH. I consider it Chivalry.
If my lady needs me to hold her purse for whatever reason, I will hold it.

I have carried my wife's purse many times. Not because she was my keyholder, because she was my wife. I haven't ever tied the two together and thought anything of it, just what I do as a husband when she wants/needs me to
