Anodized would be a good way to go. I've been meaning to suggest that as a value added service to MM.

Hate to raise technicalities, but anodizing is a process that specifically refers to aluminium, and relates to the oxidation of the surface.
It may be possible to electroplate a colour onto 316 stainless, but problematic and potentially not that durable, plus colour options would be very limited.
Powder coating may also a be possibility, but I don't know anything about the equipment needed.
