Lock/Ring Question

What have you done to cover the top of the lock so it doesn’t snag your clothes or hurt your partner when you’re spooned up to them with a lock assembly like the one pictured.

I like the way the hinged rings hide the lock, but the hinge is always uncomfortable. I’d love to find a solid ring that matches the low profile of the hinged ring.

I use a dremel to round over the sharp corners on everything.

I got a roll of white electrical tape and put a piece over the lock. Not the best solution, but it saves the scratches

As long as this thread is resurrected, take a look at the brass barrel lock. Those four round circles at the top are where the lock body has been drilled and the springs & pins were inserted. That is what a quality lock looks like. Most of the Chinese locks have a top section that is just a bit of sheet metal stamped onto the body. Using a Dremel, file, etc, to remove the sharp edges will probably dislodge the stamped brass piece, letting all the stuff inside fall out. That's why I recommend getting a real Burg Wachter ME/2.

I replaced the lock with a good Burg Wachter lock.
And updated it with a file so that everything is nicely rounded.
