Sorry for the late reply. About how big was the gap? Was the weight terribly noticeable? Thanks for being the test pilot. Image

My two new cages just arrived from aliexpress.com and I think I finally found a cage that I can wear longterm. Now I just need to get my vanilla wife on board. Here is the info on the new cages. Note that the ball gap measurements are at the widest place when prying the locked cage open. Also, I bought the contoured ball rings but plain circular rings are also available if you prefer. Having once had a lock snap off in a cage, one feature I like is that the lock is ecposed so it could be extracted if broken.

FRRK-39A Small cage
4.1oz w/ 40mm ring & lock, 16.12mm ball gap
4.3 oz w/ 45mm ring & lock, 17.64mm ball gap

FRRK-41A B-type The Crown cage
4.5 oz w/ 40mm ring & lock, 14.81mm ball gap
4.8 oz w/ 45mm ring & lock, 15.46mm ball gap

Unfortunately those balls gaps would be way too big for me, 5mm is my max before one will squeeze through under pressure sitting down or something.

After a year post covid of “freedom” I am trialing a good old HT V3 nub modified by me to have a glans ring so no pullout. Working well so far.

I have the same problem yet surprisingly the cage on the right with the larger ring work great for me. I've been experimenting with modifying the gaps on a couple other cages using JB Weld with some success but this cage seems to be working so well that I'm setting them aside for the time being. For the record, up until now I was also aiming for around a 5mm gap. These cages are so cheap on aliexpress.com that you might want to take a gamble.

Good luck on your search.
