For me, the ring size is of utmost importance. Can't be too big, can't be too little, although what was too little, I did end up adjusting to. I normally self lock during porn and I've found the erection from porn vs a morning wood erection are quite different. Wow. I wouldn't say pain, but it got my attention. There's not a lot to lose. I personally think the open designs are the best for the light weight and the hygiene. Good luck!
This is a good point, major reason I was looking into steel is true 24/7 wear with no need to take off for cleaning. Which I'm not sure is doable with the HT-like design

Thanks a lot both of you, Rooster and Tom.

I just said to my wife yesterday that the $400 or so dollars I spent on my Steelworxx Looker 3 was probably the best $400 I've ever spent! Seriously, try a few off the shelf devices first, but if you can't get the right fit, go custom. Go Steelworxx or Mature Metal, or whoever you like, but I like steel! And while I love the Steelheart for shorter term wear, a more open design is the way to go beyond a couple days if you like easy cleaning/hygiene.

I liked the DH Gate devices, but couldn't make them work with the available ring sizes, and the texture of the rings seem to bother me, especially overnight.

I could easily say something similar. A few off the internet steel devices taught me what worked and didn’t work, and my first order for a Mature Metal Jailbird was perfect. I can wear it 24/7 for long periods (16 days being enough proof for me that permanent would be possible). $400 that I have absolutely never regretted.

I totally agree. My Mature Metal Jail Bird is the best recreational investment I have EVER made, and yes, if real life issues did not get in the way, permanent (24/365) would be easily possible as respects comfort and hygiene.
