CB6000s?

Post by Needslocked »

I am not yet in chastity, but have dreamed about it for years. My problem is that I have made the decision to purchase a CB, probably 6000s, but I can't find fitting info anywhere. Yes, they talk about tube diameter and inside length, but here's the issue: I DO have a little dick (I was really crestfallen when I realized that you had to measure from the top, not the bottom. I went from 6" hard to the reality that I am only 4.25" and soft I am only about 1 1/2". I assume that the 6000s will be the right size. Anyone have any advice? I really am sure that, at least at this time in want the CB brand. I think it will be less scary for my wife and I don't want to be setting off alarms at TSA in airports.

I hope to be ordering next week, so a prompt reply is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

The CB-6000s is 2 1/2" long so you will have space in it. I've posted all over this board and on my blog about the experience my husband had getting the right size--we went through 4 devices in about 3 months. Now he is in a Watchful Mistress from Mature Metal: 1 3/4" in length, 1 1/8" in diameter (the "s" is 1 1/4" in diameter).

Many have said, and this is my husband's experience too, that the smaller and snugger the fit, the more comfortable the device is. While my husband thought the "s" was okay, he thinks the Watchful Mistress is more comfortable overall.

As for airports, my advice is to leave your device in your suitcase and put it on when you get to your destination. I think having anything on your person that can be seen as "strange" or "unusual" is just asking for trouble.

Of the plastic devices it sounds like the 6000s would be the best fit. If you are really only 1 1/2" when soft it is still probably going to be too big. I would still start with it though because all the fitting options are worth the cost even if you end up going with something custom made in the future.

I started with a CB-3000 and was reluctant to go with a metal device because I thought it would be too scary for my wife. It turns out that she didn't like the look of the plastic and prefers the metal. Just another lesson for me that trying to "think" how my wife might react to something doesn't work out too well, better to just discuss it with her.

The TSA problem is a tricky one. I don't fly very often so I haven't worried about it and would probably just leave it at home. If I had to fly frequently and did so by myself I might consider using a plastic device with a plastic lock and just ask for a private screening if I was questioned. I know others, like Dev, would say just leave it packed it is not worth the effort but I have a hard time just giving up my freedoms. I have plenty of other interests that have required working with authorities to continue so I don't see this as any different.

I think the general consensus from most of the women I've heard from is that we all tend to like metal devices better. Like Atone said, ask your wife. Get her involved in the purchase process. Show her some pictures online. At a minimum you'll be spending $150 which isn't bus fare so it is worth the effort to get something that both of you will be happy with.

The CB6K s is a good choice for starting out for several reasons. The "kit" comes with 5 rings and about the same number of spacers, so finding a combination that fits your body type is almost 100% guaranteed. The metal devices are a custom fit and they don't cost that much more, but from what I have read here, everyone who has purchased them has had some experience in a "plastic" device first. So, they have a very good idea as to what they want /need in comfort. I wear a CB6K s now, and I would like to go to a metal device sometime in the future, mostly because they look cool.

Dev is right, the plastic cage looks like something you would expect Hannibal Lecter to wear :P but it's all a matter of taste. My KH /wife doesn't really care that much about it's looks, she just likes the fact that I am locked up and she holds the key. However, I haven't shown her any of the metal choices yet....she might change her mind when she sees them. That's another important point. If you are just starting off, and your KH is your wife, you want to make certain that she's in the game otherwise the device really doesn't matter.

Long term vs. Daily wear also makes a difference. Dev's husband gets released on a daily basis for comfort and cleaning up. I do the same thing. I put on the device after my morning shower and take it off before I go to bed. My KH doesn't like it on me when we are trying to sleep. You can read the many stories here about being woken up by the unexpected nocturnal erection...

The only real problem with being "short in the tube" when you are flaccid is when you have to urinate. The head of your penis will be too far away from the slit in the tube and you will wind up peeing into the tube which means you have to clean it out before you zip up. I got around that by putting a rubber cock ring just behind the head and foreskin and it holds the head right at the end of the tube perfectly. However, when it gets cold (like when I have to shovel snow) it can pull out of the ring as my penis retracts. But normally, it stays put.

Lastly, I wouldn't recommend trying to fly with the device on. Plastic or metal it's not worth it. Many airports are now using the "X-ray" type of body scan and you will risk missing your flight while you go through security. When I travel, I just pack the device in the handy carrying bag that came with the Kit. I disassemble the device and I use a plastic tag instead of a metal pad lock. I haven't been stopped yet.

Good luck and welcome to the club!

I totally agree with Dev, however the sizing of metal devices are more problematic for the first-time wearer. Having been in a CB6000s since last year, I'm more confident of what size I'll need when I am ready to order a metal cage. I guess you could say that the CB6000 is a great newbie device, but plan on getting metal in the long run. Metal also costs a lot more, so if you find out that wearing a CB device is not what you thought it would be, you're not out as much money.

My wife is looking forward to seeing me in metal soon. ;-)

I went metal the first time out of the gate and it worked for me. I did get the sizing rings from MM to make sure, and I spent a lot of time measuring too. I also listened to those on here who'd gone before and shortened the cage even more and I'm glad I did. I know I took a calculated risk going metal first, but for me it paid off. I just didn't like the look of the plastic and I didn't want to wear it.

jnuts also started with metal right off -- his Jailbird from Mature Metal. He also got the sizing rings from MM to figure out the size.

I just saw on the MM website that he has plastic sizing rings now. I know that he had a waiting list for the metal set. Maybe these plastic ones will solve that problem?

I'm wearing a CB6000s now, after previously trying the 2000 and 3000. I like this one better as it is more comfortable under clothes. I'll echo previous comments in that a smaller device is more comfortable.

I'll make this point--when considering the length of the tube, you need to also add the thickness of the ring and length of the spacer.

For example, if you are 2" long while flaccid and the tube is 2" long, you're going to have some room at the end of the tube when factoring in the ring and spacer. I hope that makes sense.

I appreciate all of your input. It has really settled it for me, at least for the sizing issue. I agree with the idea of involving my wife/KH in the purchase. I have been reading Sarah's Be Careful What You Wish For. It has been extremely helpful and, if I am able to persuade my wife that my chastity is a good thing, it will be because of Sarah's wisdom. So many of the ideas rang true for me and I plan to use to plan my discussion.

The funny/sad part is how badly I could use a CB now. We had a good sex life years ago, then I tried to encourage her to be more sexually dominant. That was wildly unsuccessful and sex started to become more vanilla. Then it got worse. I have always spent a lot of time masturbating. When the Internet started to rise with porn I was one of the first to start surfing. Well she caught me and was so upset that she threw the computer out the second story window. She made me go to SLAA meetings. The funny part is that sex did not diminish, it just became pretty vanilla. Over the years I have gently encouraged her to spice it up a little and that has worked to an extent. My fantasy for years was eating my own creampie. I have gotten to the point recently that she will let me do that, but if it feels like she is just going along with it, rather than being excited by it.

Sex with us has always been once a week since we were first married over 20 years ago. That is fine, but I am one who likes the edge rather than the orgasm, so I am constantly keeping myself at the edge. This is one of the benefits that I am hoping to achieve.

My biggest problem is our history. I am afraid that to her chastity is so "weird" that she may mentally run away and our sex life will become more vanilla again. Wish me luck, or if you have advice, I am all ears.

Thanks again for all your help.
