First cage

Post by SelfLocked »

I bought my first cage today...and it's a crappy fit. Off the shelf CB knockoff.

But I sort of expected that.

And I am so excited! The feeling is wild. I can't wear it very long because of terrible fitment, but I figured out what works and what doesn't.

So now I'm going to rush a HTV3 my way as fast as possible :) should be a much better fit

Let me guess...Too big? It seems most of us think we are bigger than the reality testifies to.

Like you I started with a CB3000 knock off. There were 3 problems with it. It was too big and M'Lady didn't like the complicated ring set up. It also was cheaply made and was both uncomfortable to wear and the rings broke easily. I bought a knock off CB6000S to try but never had it on.

We next tried a HT Standard clone that was still too big leading us to try the HT Small. That one fit me well and was comfortable to wear. Next in the progression was a genuine HTv3 Small that I wore for several months. The only problem was keeping it clean and sanitary which required removal every few days.

During this time I bought a Chinese 'stainless' steel cage based on the HT measurements. I was locked in this one off and on to see how I would adapt to a steel device before investing in a custom device. The ultimate goal was M'Lady controlling her property with a MM Jail Bird.

Earlier this year I bought a preowned Jail Bird from the sale section on Chastity Mansion and we sent it in to MM for some modifications for better fit and to add a feature M'Lady wanted. I was locked in it on June 29th, one day before the anniversary of the first day I was caged. Since then I have only been free twice. Once for 10 days (I don't remember why I was unlocked that long) and again for 2 days for our anniversary.

The point of this rambling is to say don't get discouraged. There are a lot of inexpensive devices out there that will allow you to find the one that is right for you without breaking the bank. Once you find what you want and decide chastity is for you look at the custom offerings available.

Your name says you are self locked but you don't say if you are married or have a partner. If you are, is he/she aware of your desire to try chastity and onboard with the idea?

Well this cage that I bought does fit and I have been wearing it, which has been awesome. I have been loving the feeling. I bought it from a local shop, only one they had. I didn't expect it to be a keeper, just wanted to try it out and see if it was something that I enjoyed.

I am single and have been for a few years. I have been attempting to reduce (and eventually eliminate hopefully) my consumption of porn over the last couple of years with mixed success. I also feel like I have been getting into phases where I have jerked off too frequently. Being self locked, I'm not sure a cage will help or hurt these efforts, but after one day wearing it I am optimistic.

I am preparing to make a cross country move, so I don't expect to begin a new relationship any time soon.

As for the cage itself, it does fit on. The 55mm ring actually fits quite well. From what I have read, 55mm is outside of the norm, but I tried the 50mm and can't even get it on.

I had meant to take the cage off last night, but I accidentally fell asleep with it on, and I was pleasantly surprised that I slept through the night without waking up.

The tube is where the sizing is way off. First, it is entirely too long so I absolutely have to take it off to pee. As for the tube width, I suspect that it is a bit too narrow, but I am a little unsure. It fits on, and it's not uncomfortable, but it is a tad undersized for my actual girth when measured with a caliper. It is just over 1.3" whereas I measure out just over 1.4". It does contain very well and doesn't hurt when my rod tries to grow.

The spacing is also pretty terrible. I am using the largest spacer it came with and it still pulls too far forward. The unnecessary extra weight because of it being way too long doesn't exactly help either, so it pulls down too. I can notice a slight bulge wearing my normal jeans, but fortunately I highly doubt anyone else would notice, as the bulge basically just makes the front of my jeans appear flat. I have not worn it out in public yet, but expect that to be interesting :)

As for my next cage, I'm really divided. The HTv3 specs make me think thats my best bet, especially when it comes to girth. From what I have read it's best to have cage 1/4-1/2" shorter in length than my actual measurement for peeing standing up. That's very important for me, I like being able to use urinals lol. And the HTv3 seems to be spot on length wise for me. I am however concerned with the things I have heard about issues with the lock failing, since it is internal.

I am also considering the CB3000, if the 1.3" width isn't an issue for 24/7 use with my girth.

Those 2 cages are about as much as I can spend right now. I could wait a couple of weeks and then order a custom MM, so that's an option too

Sorry for such a long post, but thanks for any input!

Anyhow, expect to see me around :)

I suggest looking at Amazon and DHGate for a steel option. They’re more open, and easier to pee with. I strongly advise against the CB line - antiquated and complicated design. The HTs are great and may be a good option for you though. I’ve just found they’re harder to pee cleanly than in a snug open steel design.

It took some trial and error for me too. I got lucky with a steel knockoff pretty early on before going custom and later supplementing with an HT Nub.

The HTv3 comes in 4 sizes. Which one are you considering? Most of the lock failure problems you read about are with knock off devices. The locks with these are cheaply made out of inferior materials but a drop of oil in the lock after showering helps a lot. (Put a drop on the end of the key and work the lock)

DHgate definitely has a lot of affordable options. But I question the quality, which is one thing that concerns me about metal cages. Is it just a gamble of quality, or are there certain ones that are safe bets? I do like the steel option for easier cleaning though. Not sure I want to spend so much for the MM though.

I guess I will forget about the CB models, thanks for the advice. As far as the HTv3, the Standard size seems to be the best fit for my size. I do still need to do the string measurement for the ring size though. Good to know about the locks being a problem only on the knockoffs.

I will be researching for at least a few more days before I order anything. Hoping to find a good fit for 24/7 use...

Thanks for advice

Hunt around in these forums for discussion on the inexpensive Chinese devices, both stainless steel and plastic.

The A27x styles are popular, and my own A272 has turned out to be the best device I've owned.

Thanks for the A272 suggestion! For the price, I'm going to give it a try. I had looked at the A271/273s but the length on those were way too short for me. The 272 looks to be just about right. Just hope the 50mm ring will work for me.

Check different resellers. You might be able to buy just a ring.

Or for the price, buy an A272 with one size, and an A271 (or whatever) with another size.

I'm mostly concerned with it being too small. I'm using a 55mm ring with my current cheap knockoff cage. Although from what I've read I heard these measurements don't really transfer between different manufacturers
